Now that Network School is gone from Malaysia, I have some questions about the process of setting up a company like that.
NS was in the MDEC special program that grants them special operational flexibility and some other exemptions.
1. So why was NS's business licensing and permits all over the place?
2. Are there no case officers to help them navigate through all the bureaucracy through different federal level ministries and departments?
3. Can this process be streamlined?
4. Do investors and their business proposals get vetted and by whom?
5. I thought Malaysia has at least two strict laws on false advertising.
Why were NS allowed to advertise themselves as Singapore and even alluding to owning the Malaysian island for so long?
