Apparently fighting for consumer rights, ownership, and physical games is now “goofy,” “desperate,” and “cringe.” Interesting.
When corporations take away choice, history doesn’t mock the people who fought back. It mocks the people who cheered, ridiculed dissent, and called surrender “progress.” Nothing is more cringe than volunteering to be a corporation’s unpaid goofball.

We also understand the frustration of some who want to use this as a revenge movement, but in the end we don't want to bankrupt Sony. We want them to come to their senses and keep the part of gaming culture alive that we love. Scorched earth won't bring back physical either.

In addition, it is much easier to rally people behind a short time span that is much more doable than an eternal boycott. Everyone who wants to can still start early and/or continue afterwards, but it will demotivate people if you say "forever or nothing".

Also, many who criticize it have the wrong expectation of what it is meant to achieve. It's about much more than just not giving them money. It is to keep the conversation going. It's to disrupt multiple aspects over a long period of time. We can't just pack up after one action.

Why did you choose this date specifically?
Why would it end after a week? Surely you want this to go on until they do something?
Doing it for a week proves nothing to Sony and actually with give them enough data to prove the opposite to your point?
The cause that @DoesItPlay1 is fighting is a noble one and I’ve spoken many times about how I don’t think an all digital future is the right move (at this moment) but this feels like a demonstration rather than taking an actual stand.

Stunning and brave. Now do it from Sunday, September 13 until Sunday the 20th, so you miss Wolverine and half of you aren't at Gamescom. Otherwise it's pretty convenient timing. I want to respect and support this cause, but nonsense like this is making it hard to do so. A shame.
