A temporary blackout is just performative. I get we want quick resolve but THIS won't come fast. If you want real change. Don't buy digital games. Not even one. Never again. Start by buying Wolverine + Tokon physically. Don't buy GTA 6. Make the PS6 flop. That's the real test.

If people really want to send a message to @Sony, @PlayStation, @Xbox, @Steam, and @Nintendo, then they need to be willing to follow through with their actions. If your goal is to protest the move away from physical discs, stop supporting the platforms you're protesting. Stop playing, delete your account if that's your choice, sell your games, and sell your consoles. Otherwise, what's the point of protesting if you're not prepared to see it through? Just out of curiosity, how many people are online playing PlayStation right now? If those numbers are still high, then the protests aren't having much of an impact. If you're continuing to spend money on PlayStation while claiming to protest, people are naturally going to question how serious the movement really is. As for me, I'm in the minority. A one-week boycott (when no major games are releasing) won't change anything. If PlayStation's stance on physical games has you up in arms, vote with your wallet for longer than a blip on a calendar. Boycott Marvel's Wolverine, GTA 6, your PSN subscription. Go offline.

@matt2004hoop Make it longer than a week? Do it during a big release such as Wolverine or GTA6. Don't buy those games at all. Things like that. You have to make them see you otherwise protesting just to protest is meaningless.

@InfernoOmni It is not attempting to shame others. It is telling you the message you are sending is a bad one. Send a real message like blackout GTA6 and Wolverine or blackout until demands are met. Telling them when you will be back is not letting them know you mean business.

this PlayStation/Sony Movement really reveals that people who scoff at those who fight for change are cowards. they resign themselves to complacency. they shame others to make themselves feel better. they've lost their courage to resist. it's a last ditch resort for control.

@PorkPoncho @DoesItPlay1 Thank you! If you want to send a message you must actually send one. Having a stop date tells them you will be back. If people cared enough why not black them out until they change? Why not blackout GTA6 or Wolverine.. I know the answer but can they tell me?

Why did you choose this date specifically? Why would it end after a week? Surely you want this to go on until they do something? Doing it for a week proves nothing to Sony and actually with give them enough data to prove the opposite to your point? The cause that @DoesItPlay1 is fighting is a noble one and I’ve spoken many times about how I don’t think an all digital future is the right move (at this moment) but this feels like a demonstration rather than taking an actual stand.
