Our daily happiness depends on: a) Do we surround ourselves with agreeable company and more importantly, are we agreeable company to them so they like to be around us? b) Is our mind free of suffering thoughts, which tend to trap the mind in endless loops? If I am hyper-focused on solving a problem or learning something, I am generally free of such "suffering loops" or "ego loops". If we are trapped in suffering loops or ego loops, we tend not to be agreeable company, so (b) is a precondition for (a)

In USA people are doing protest to stop A.I but I think it’s useless. Let me explain you in a easy way: In San Francisco people are doing protest outside the offices of Open A.I, Google Deep-mind and Anthropic and these are not normal crowds, As in this we have A.I researchers too which are making the A.I. Their Demand is to stop the A.I race as because of this people are loosing their jobs and it also destroying the environment. But in this demand they really have a big problem: First tell me how it will pause, suppose anyone one from: Open AI, Google and Anthropic came forward for the welfare and pauses the frontend AI development, but there are many companies in the line which would take benefit of this situation. @demishassabis Google deepmind Ceo and Nobel laureate is itself saying that even if we stop the Google Deepmind then there is no benefit of it, As other companies would go further than us. Demis says, we are so far in A.I race that we literally make sand to think (who don’t know: A.I chips made from sand). He itself says there should be a regulator that would check each powerful A.I before release and if needed then stop all A.I companies together. Warren Buffett says that, all A.I giants are running in the race in which they itself don’t want to run. If you remember @DarioAmodei had also written an article to regulate A.I and Demish is now also saying USA government to regulate it. So the thing is that, Demanding to pause is an impractical now. As now this is not going to stop by any private company policy. For this we need an international coordination around it and a system which regulates it.

Samsung is the weirdest company on Earth. 1. Makes chips for its competitors. 2. Makes iPhone displays. 3. Helped build the Burj Khalifa?? 4. Makes EV batteries. 5. Runs one of the world's largest shipbuilders. 6. Builds oil refineries & petrochemical plants. 7. Runs a global advertising agency. 8. Owns South Korea's largest theme park. It's like Apple, TSMC, Maersk, Pfizer, Publicis, and Disney... all rolled into one company.

I have read a quote: When a man blames other people then he has a long journey to cover. When a blame’s himself he’s halfway there and When a man blames nothing and takes it as it is, He is arrived.

@Tristanrhee3 Twitter is for making connections and a little marketing. But Ig ,Titktok and yt are real players for promotion. One thing I observe that people who came to your product by yt advertising are most likely to be your customer for a long time.

harsh truth: ignore twitter if you want real customers your ideal customers are on tiktok and IG and 1 viral UGC reel could make them a lifelong customer

thinking machines has finally published its first big model, inkling: 1) its open source we have had a rather lackluster performance from american-based open source models while from china we have kimi, deepseek, glm, minimax, and much more inkling is probably one of the first to get close and sometimes even surpass these models in performance on tasks ranging from coding, vision, audio, etc 2) its massive inkling was pretrained on a total 45T tokens, which is around the same size of frontier models. its an MoE, with 975b total and 41b active parameters, close to a 1T model frontier models that dont utilize MoE are typically extremely expensive, peaking above $1b in just compute costs when you get 400b - 500b+ parameters. based on the details from inkling we can assume it may have taken anywhere between $10m - $20m in compute (not considering that they would need to purchase huge clusters of thousands of h100s to even run it in the first place) 3) smaller versions we also get to access the preview of inkling-small, which performs at a similar level or even better than it's larger sibling with ~3 times smaller active parameters still its gonna take about 250-300gb of unified memory or ram, which is not exactly smthn you can install unless you have a $20k to $40k setup going on. on the small version. 4) api pricing inkling costs $1.84/m in, cached $0.374/m in, and $4.68/m out. these offers are though currently running on a limited time 50% discount this is sits right under grok 4.5 ($2/m in, $6/m out) + sonnet 5 ($2/m in, $10/m out) and around gpt 5.6 luna ($1/m in, $6/m out), metas muse spark 1.1 ($1.25/m in, $4.25/m out) nowhere close in comparison to chinese models or composer 2.5 but still pressuring frontier labs to lower prices

my doctor used to say: “your body is not a trash can. you’d never throw garbage into something you respect, so why are you eating fast food? show yourself some respect” your issues with discipline are always about what you think you’re worth
aether@bluewdrift

your relationship with discipline changes so much when you shift from doing things from love rather than shame. from 'i have to clean'- to realizing i deserve to have a clean home. from 'i need to work out'- to i deserve to have a healthy body. you deserve the best from yourself

My dad said me: Don’t be scared of losing your reputation when you don’t have any. Then he said: I mean your life has not started yet, so what embarrassment are you even thinking about. I believe this so much, and now I don’t get scared, and don’t feel any embarrassment.

@svembu True. A.I is the future, maybe I am gonna sound hard but the countries which have their or nuclear bomb are considered to be strong and had more power, similarly now the countries which have their own AI are gonna rule the next phase of the world. So we really need our own A.I

The premise behind the extraordinary AI investment wave is this: the only technology that will matter is AI. All other technology will be subsumed by AI because they can all be reinvented and vastly improved by a powerful enough AI. For example, AI will help find solutions to climate change. AI will help find medicines to cure cancer. AI will help solve the housing affordability problem in cities. AI will help us end war (okay, may be this one is my hallucination!) If you accept the fundamental premise and the concrete examples listed above, the only technology worth working on is AI. Do you accept the premise?
