sure you can have difficulty, but it doesn't mean you can't have accessibility either, normalizing overly punishing mechanics will only fuel an overly toxic community

I live in California, and if i were to have an apartment and a child and take care of the child and send it to school and pay all my bills, i would need to be making over $400,000 a year. I do not make that, and most people don’t, but they don’t worry about the baby after it’s born and what it needs. They just want to control people’s bodies.

You don't have to "engage deeper" with Dark Souls though. You can grind up souls and overpower everything. You can summon a friend and watch most encounters buckle under the weight of a second player. It's easy to make Dark Souls easy.
