Roland and our PostDoc @LindlarNiko visited the EuroBIC17 in Münster last week. While Roland presented our work on the recently discovered theta ribozymes, Niko spoke about one of his projects from his Ph.D. in the @DaumannL Lab.

We also would like to welcome Lennart Lindner in our group! Lennart started his Ph.D. thesis this month in the smFRET group - we wish successful experiments, good coffee and many new experiences!🙏

The Sigel group is coming out of the summer with a few news: Besim defended his Ph.D. thesis on illuminating the structure-function relationships in group II introns successfully! 🥳🥳Stay tuned for a publication about this!😉

The Sigel group is starting into summer with two new members: We welcome Benjamin and Matteo for their Master projects! Benjamin is doing a specialized Master in our NMR subgroup while Matteo is doing smFRET studies. We wish few failed experiments and lots of fun in the lab!
