Not calling out anyone, just providing additional context to address the panic surrounding the leak of "clothing skins" in the latest update, as it’s currently the most discussed topic on r/GlobalOffensive.
"Wearables" are unreleased cosmetic items that first leaked in 2016 with Operation Wildfire (alongside taunts, Danger Zone, etc.). These "loadout slots" are nearly a decade old, have existed in the game files since then, and reappeared in the latest update due to a compiler bug or refactoring. You can read more about them on the Counter-Strike wiki.
However, it’s worth noting that the developers did experiment with clothing skins around the release of CS2 and I also talked about it on my channel. It seems that they abandoned this idea for now. It’s also notable that character customization concepts have existed since the CS:GO alpha, with official concept art from that era. Whether the developers plan to release additional customization remains uncertain, but this one is not new.

Important post. Recently, a user on r/GlobalOffensive subreddit published a 36-page article claiming that sub-tick negatively affects player movement and causes inconsistent acceleration. We’re not here for drama or to criticize anyone’s ego aura-farming, but to improve Counter-Strike and its community.
TL;DR: the original article made several serious mistakes early in the process and and neglected key aspects of how game movement is simulated. As a result, it completely corrupted all the gathered data, and the results do not reflect the actual state of the game.
A follow-up article correcting these errors, written by @H7pernerd, with a help of @poggu__'s tools, got 50x less traction on Reddit (guess hate sells). They used actual in-engine data to show that the supposed “inconsistencies” were just a misinterpretation of how the cl_showpos console command reports values.
Their conclusion is: "When comparing distance moved over time relative to the time of input, subtick comes out far ahead of both 64 and 128 tick CSGO in terms of consistency when it comes to ground movement."
Counter-Strike 2 does have undeniable problems that need to be addressed, but it's still important to correct misinformation.

@Jebus3211 @gabefollower I wish I could, but im not an expert to be able to explain em as other users does. ive been playing for + a decade and the game just feels awful compared to source and csgo, movement feels wack, awp's hitscan feels rng, csgo's 80 ping > cs2 35 ping. Sorry for give solo experience

@jamesbardolph @CounterStrike So in your case the game thinks the hostage is picked up and cannot be picked up again because it is still in possession of the dead player

@jamesbardolph @CounterStrike The game seems to not cancel the use button for picking up hostages once you die, so when you transition to the ragdoll model once you die, you can still "pick up" the hostage.
In this clip I continue to hold down E - once I respawn the hostage gets rescued.

Hostage bug - it appears that if a CT is fragged while picking up a hostage, that hostage can no longer be picked up. @CounterStrike
