@1quantified @pikmin_facts on their second hit, their next attack does 1.5x as much as the first; In neither scenario is that 20 since a blue pikmin's attack is 10.

@1quantified @pikmin_facts I've done my own research on the topic for a video I did, so here's video proof that is factually incorrect. Please do your own research instead of blindly trusting a wiki.

Pikmin 4 made major changes to how digging is handled. Instead of being tied to a Pikmin’s attack strength like in 2/3, now all Pikmin have standardized digging speed. All except Yellow Pikmin, which now dig 4x faster than all others.

@pikmin_facts A rock pikmin’s attack strength isn't 20, so no, it isn't. Plus even if it was, a yellow pikmin being an exception at all means that dig speeds are not inherently tied with attack strength in 3.

@silokhawk Yes it is, in 2 and 3 digging speed is directly tied to attack strength with stronger pikmin going faster and weaker pikmin digging slower. Yellows were the exception because that was just one of their traits.

@zombiegirlrot New ones have too much anti-aliasing that makes everything look muddied. Not to mention the older ones having more contrast made them "pop" better. Diamond in particular was so bright it almost glowed in the dark, which made it seem more valuable when stumbling across it.

@SquishyDishii I'm aware. The intro up through the 2nd day is still almost an hour even with skips.

I think we all took Pikmin 3's day selection menu for granted. I've had to play Pikmin 4's boring/long as shit intro like 10 times for footage now.

@silokhawk @Master0fHyrule I remember my step-family and I had both a light blue Wii Remote Plus and a pink Wii Remote Plus, and we’d play Nintendo Land on the Wii U from time to time. So they did exist, kinda strange this one didn’t have the Plus on it.

@Plub64 Oh also the aristocrab being "new" wasn't the error in question, it's the fact he said they remixed enemies from 1 and 2 while showing a 3 enemy

@silokhawk To be fair, the Aristocrab offspring is a somewhat new enemy and there is a new way to defeat the Breadbugs (even if its not shown in that clip). Way better footage obviously could've been used but the point is still there. The last one is still wrong though, no excuses there.

I don't want this to devolve into a "I hate Dunkey!" dogpile because I unironically love the guy; All I'm sayin' is fake fan 🧐

@Plub64 If you're referring to how you can throw purples onto a giant breadbug to hurt it, that also existed in 2. Again no hate towards dunk

@Huedenne The music is half the reason that fight is so badass tho. It's like fighting Bowser in a flower field, feels pointless lol

@silokhawk If you just want to fight the final boss again you can use the Piklopedia on your 100% file albeit without the cool arena you fight in originally

@misterlit2727 Pikmin 4 is a fantastic game don't get me wrong, I think I do like it more than 3; For me though, it's a handful of little things that keep it from being a perfect experience.

@silokhawk Ik its probably way to early to ask this but is the game better than pikmin 3? Or at least did you enjoy this more at launch compared to pikmin 3 launch

@OchreHorns @tekno_thom The way in which the boss is being cheesed is completely different; And nearly every boss in the entire series can be cheesed if you know what to do.

@silokhawk @OchreHorns Looks more to me like they’re just parodying Shesez’s tweet. Personally find it odd that Shesez shits on 4 for being easy when you can pretty much make any Pikmin game easy (aside from 1) if you just abuse the op stuff
