Had a constructive discussion with Dr. Silpi Sahoo ji, Chairperson of SAI International Education Group, on the implementation of #NEP2020. We spoke about the need to strengthen foundational learning, make education more skill-oriented, encourage Indian languages and ensure greater social participation in the education system while also addressing issues related to nutrition and fee transparency. Important Announcement: Reference may be made to CBSE’s circular no. Acad. 29/2024 dated March 22, 2024👇. To allay any misgivings and for greater clarity, it is reiterated that for all classes other than 3 and 6, there is no change to the existing curriculum or textbooks. Schools are once again instructed to continue using the same textbooks for these classes as they did in the previous academic year (2023-24).

CM @Naveen_Odisha attended the SAI Model United Nations Conference (SAIMUN) at Sai International School in #Bhubaneswar. CM also inaugurated the state-of-the-art ‘Bijoy Indoor Stadium’ established in the memory of the founder of the school, late Bijoy Kumar Sahoo, and paid tributes to him. Speaking on the occasion, CM said that the conference is a unique opportunity to understand the world around, society and the people. Citing that knowledge on diverse cultures, practices enhances our acceptability to diversity, CM said it helps us to find a common approach to global peace, harmony & growth.

I will be short of words if I map out the vision Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo had for education in India. He wanted to see that no child in this country is deprived of quality education; his vision and work brought the state of Odisha on the national pedestal of K12 education.
