Never forget: women can't know for sure they're women unless they've had their chromosomes checked, but if a man says he's a woman he's definitely a woman and it is highly offensive to mention his chromosomes, which are entirely irrelevant to whether or not a person is a woman.

@Theholisticpsyc @drjessmorgan_ They feel pain. Everything is painful: getting up, talking, working, doing the shopping, just everything. Pain, a huge sense of loss, and feeling hopeless are the main reasons why some people take their own lives. Calling it sadness or not is just semantics.

Depression is misunderstood as sadness. Most people who are chronically depressed aren’t sad at all. They feel nothing. Their bodies are stuck in a freeze protective state. This is why we need to understand depression as a response, rather than a disease.
