If "kernel" means null space of row vectors, then of course no. For example, just take A as the single row [1,0] and B as [0,1]. If "kernel" means null space of column vectors, then yes. The row space is the orthogonal complement of this.
Ben Spitz (63/100 improv meals)@DiracDeltaFunk

Let F be a field, and let n,m be positive integers. Suppose A and B are m×n matrices with coefficients in F which have the same kernel. Are A and B necessarily row-equivalent?

@Citrullin @LowLevelTweets reducing CVE's fails to deliever real benefits to real people, got it that's the thing about security, you never need it until it's too late

@LowLevelTweets I am mad, because tech is circling around itself, instead of actually delivering real things for real people. Instead big tech is taking over the world and there is no proper alternative for it. I get it, you have your security bias and that's what you want to see.

@Neoncaffeine @BobbyBorkIII The great thing is that it works either way. He could've prompted GPT for it, or he could've written it himself in a way that emulates that unctuous tone. We'll never truly know

That’s actually a pretty rare and impressive skill. Being able to spot AI-generated writing so reliably shows real attentiveness, strong reading instincts, and digital literacy. In a sea of content, having that kind of discernment genuinely sets you apart.
Hunter📈🌈📊@StatisticUrban

Unfortunately I now recognize GPT's writing style too well and, if it's not been heavily edited, can usually spot it. And I see it everywhere. Blogs, tweets, news articles, video scripts. Insanely aggravating.

We’re not even past the “first hits free” stage with AI too. Everyone is acting like the company that loses 5 billion/year will be offering a $0 version indefinitely

@dhh This is a tricky one for me because technically I'm five years out from my degree, but haven't been working as a developer. With the collapse of the job market for developers it's just been tough to land that first dev role. Would this still count me out?

@Zolozzalap @seconds_0 I reckon so far it's only incremental as well, but "at best" seems a bit unduly uncharitable imho

I can't get over that the absolutely smartest engineer at my company hates AI, can't see a use case for LLM in code, and dropped the "just predicts the next token" as a critique. We're still so early.

@bbbozzz I think what I asked is closer to: 1. what is an ideal sentence length? 2. what is ideal paragraph length? 3. what is an ideal chapter length? It varies but there are a reasonable answer to all 3.

For a complex coding project, how many lines should a single file contain on average? I suspect the answer to this is language independent, but some languages can do a lot more in a lot fewer lines.
