Benjamin Netanyahu -

This would be fun for a week or three, but there is a reason French colonial administrators and officers either killed themselves or became alcoholics after a few years in Africa Celine talks about this

@RFC_CNC_3dPrint @Freedom7Restore @Bitcoin_Teddy try again retařd you made the equivalent of damn near 90k by today’s standards. there are still people from my generation making 35k/year which by these calculations is worth 150% less than what you make dumbass

You are way wrong. In early 90’s I started working mechanic I made 35k year salary. I went to work 6:30am to 5pm I came home had dinner with my wife then out to the garage painting cars, doing brake jobs etc till 1am then in shower bed. Weekend off from real job I was doing side jobs painting cars building decks finishing basements etc. I was the can do anything guy before internet was even a thing. I did that from 18 years old up to 30 years old at which point I had done well enough I could just work for myself. Doing what I actually like. Us “old heads” have a completely different work ethic.

Really? What do our obese younger population do today that was harder than 30-40 years ago. Sophisticated registers that compute everything for you rather than figuring the total in your head? Factory assembly-line work (e.g., welding, painting, part assembly in manufacturing) In the 1970s, auto plants and other factories relied heavily on workers doing repetitive, physically grueling tasks like hand-welding car frames, spray-painting bodies, or manually bolting/assembling components—often in hot, noisy, dangerous conditions for long shifts. Today, industrial robots handle most of these repetitive, precise, heavy-lifting tasks. Workers now program robots, monitor lines, perform quality checks, or handle exceptions. The physical strain is much lower, injury rates have dropped in automated areas, and output per worker is dramatically higher. Machinist / metalworking / CNC machining 50 years ago, machinists manually operated lathes, mills, and drills—cranking handles, measuring by hand, and making adjustments through trial and error, which was slow, physically taxing, and required high skill to avoid errors. Computer Numerical Control machines, which became common from the 1970s–80s onward, automate the precise movements via programmed instructions. Young machinists today load materials, set up programs (often with CAD software), run simulations, and oversee multiple machines at once. The job demands less brute strength and endurance, more technical knowledge, and produces far more accurate parts with less effort. Warehouse / inventory / material handling (picking, packing, stocking) In the 1970s–80s, warehouse workers manually lifted heavy boxes, climbed ladders, pushed carts across large floors, and hand-counted inventory—leading to high rates of back injuries and fatigue. Modern warehouses use automated conveyor systems, robotic arms, autonomous guided vehicles, exoskeletons for lifting assistance, barcode/RFID scanners, and warehouse management software. Workers now drive electric pallet jacks, monitor robots, or use handheld devices for directed picking. The physical load is significantly reduced, though some roles remain demanding. Construction trades (e.g., heavy excavation, concrete pouring, demolition) Digging foundations, breaking concrete, or moving earth in the 1970s meant hand shovels, picks, wheelbarrows, and manual jackhammers—extremely labor-intensive and back-breaking. Today, operators use hydraulic excavators, skid steers, concrete pumps, laser-guided grading systems, and power tools with vibration-dampening features. GPS and computer-controlled machinery make precise work faster and less error-prone. Entry-level operators can learn to run advanced equipment more quickly than mastering purely manual versions, and the work involves far less raw muscle. Agriculture / farm labor (harvesting, planting, milking) In the 1970s, many farms still used significant hand labor for picking crops, weeding, or even milking cows manually or with basic machines. Large-scale harvesting often involved crews bending and lifting all day. Modern farms deploy combine harvesters with GPS auto-steering, automated milking parlors, drone monitoring, precision planters, and robotic fruit-pickers (emerging but advancing). Young farm workers today often drive/operate high-tech equipment, monitor sensors, or manage data from apps—reducing stoop labor, exposure to elements, and physical exhaustion while increasing efficiency. Postal sorting / mail handling Sorting mail in the 1970s–80s was largely manual: workers read addresses, sorted letters into bins by hand, and lifted heavy sacks—repetitive and straining. Automated sorting machines, optical character recognition, conveyor systems, and barcode scanners now handle the bulk. Workers feed machines, troubleshoot jams, or handle irregular items. The job is less physically taxing and faster, with far fewer people needed per volume of mail. You got it made today. You're getting fatter, your ass is getting bigger and you cry your eyes out because it's too hard. Cry me a river.

@KarenBlehm @Freedom7Restore @Bitcoin_Teddy 60-80 hour weeks is chump change by today’s standards old pig. this just shows how completely out of touch you are. did you struggle to pay rent with those 60-80 hour weeks? were you able to afford a car? insurance? did you send your kids to college? do you own a house?

$19 an hour full-time is $40,000 a year. Take-home pay is $1,600 a month. You can’t afford your rent, so break the lease and get a room for rent. That’s your own fault. I pay $75 a month for internet—you’re getting ripped off. Turn down your lights and TV to save on power bills. Get a second job if you want to keep your place. Struggle like we all did.
