BREAKING: Trump escalates his unholy war against the pope and defends his blasphemous Truth Social attack with a new rant: "I'm not a fan of Pope Leo!" This president wouldn't have been a fan of Jesus Christ either... "Why did you attack Pope Leo on Truth Social?" a reporter asked. "Uh... I don't think he's doing a very good job. He likes crime, I guess," said Trump. "He uh... He hit us. Think of it. He's worried about fear. Who could possibly be stupid enough to believe that anyone "likes crime?" Trump is spewing gibberish because he's upset that Pope Leo criticized his illegal, child-murdering Iran War and his brutal treatment of migrants. The Truth Social post in question was as lengthy as it was unhinged. Among other things, Trump claimed that Leo is "hurting the Catholic Church" and took credit for his papal election. In these new remarks to the reporter, he doubled down. "And in many cases, they're outside ten feet apart, and they were arrested. So we don't like it," Trump rambled on. "We don't like a pope that's going to say that it's okay to have a nuclear weapon. We don't want a pope that says crime is okay in our cities. I don't like it. I'm not a big fan of Pope Leo. He's a very liberal person. And he's a man that doesn't believe in stopping crime." "He's a man that doesn't think that we should, uh, be toying with a country that wants a nuclear weapon so they can blow up the world. I'm not a fan of Pope Leo," Trump added. As has been reported ad nauseam by now, Iran was not pursuing a nuclear weapon. Trump's own intelligence agencies have admitted as much. He started this war because Israel wanted to destroy a regional rival to aid in their territorial expansion. Furthermore Pope Leo is not a "very liberal person." He voted in Republican primaries when he lived in the United States. More to the point, it's utterly absurd to reduce the Vatican to simple American political terms. This is a 2000-year-old institution with a complex moral worldview. It was here long before Trump existed and will remain long after his fascist movement has crumbled to dust. US President Donald Trump has lashed out at Pope Leo XIV, falsely characterising him as supporting a nuclear-armed Iran. The first US-born head of the Roman Catholic Church has spoken out against nuclear proliferation and the US-Israeli war on Iran.

"I like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA," Trump continued. "He gets it, and Leo doesn’t! I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. I don’t want a Pope who thinks it’s terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a Country that was sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and, even worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug dealers, and killers, into our Country." Trump's own intelligence agencies have admitted that Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons, just like those same agencies have stated that Venezuela was not trafficking large amounts of drugs into the United States. As usual, he's lying. "And I don’t want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I’m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE, to do, setting Record Low Numbers in Crime, and creating the Greatest Stock Market in History," Trump continued. For the record, it doesn't matter what kind of pope Trump "wants." He's not Catholic and clearly doesn't believe in God at all. His opinion on the papacy is about as relevant as Satan's. "Leo should be thankful because, as everyone knows, he was a shocking surprise," Trump went on. "He wasn’t on any list to be Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was an American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I wasn’t in the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican." Not that it matters to Trump — who clearly doesn't give a damn about offending Catholics — but the Church has never and will never revolve around him. It's a 2000-year-old institution, older than MAGA, older than the United States itself. Popes are chosen to shepherd the faithful towards Jesus Christ, not to pander to American presidents. Not only that, but Catholics believe that the Holy Spirit helps guide the papal election through the College of Cardinals. In his hubris and rage, Trump is spitting on ancient, sacred beliefs. "Unfortunately, Leo’s Weak on Crime, Weak on Nuclear Weapons, does not sit well with me, nor does the fact that he meets with Obama Sympathizers like David Axelrod, a LOSER from the Left, who is one of those who wanted churchgoers and clerics to be arrested," Trump wrote. "Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician. It’s hurting him very badly and, more importantly, it’s hurting the Catholic Church! President DONALD J. TRUMP" the president concluded. Ironically, Trump is the one filtering these issues through a political lens. Leo is not being a politician. He's being a Christian. True followers of Jesus — not the bloodthirsty Evangelicals who make up the MAGA base — are profoundly anti-war. If Leo were being "political" he wouldn't be speaking out so forcefully on these moral issues. He's defending migrants and innocent people being torn apart by American bombs because it's the right thing to do, even if it means incurring the rage of Republicans. As for Trump's claim that Leo is hurting the Church, in reality it's flourishing under his leadership. This past Easter, Catholic parishes saw a massive influx of new converts. The average diocese reported a 38% increase compared to last year. In some places those numbers were even more dramatic. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles saw a 139% increase. Perhaps that's why Trump is so angry at Leo. As the MAGA movement implodes under the weight of an unpopular war launched on Israel's behalf and a worsening Epstein scandal, the Catholic Church under this new pope is blossoming into an era of spiritual rebirth. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said the proposal reflects the agency’s “commitment to restoring American energy dominance, strengthening cooperative federalism, and accommodating unique circumstances at certain (coal) facilities.” The rules were strengthened by – you guessed it – the Biden administration a few years ago, and now Trump is trying to gut them on behalf of his cronies in Big Coal. It is shocking to see just how eagerly the Trump administration is gutting all the regulations that keep us safe. “The Trump administration just took a sledgehammer to the health protections in place for toxic coal pollution,” said Lisa Evans, senior counsel at environmental group Earthjustice. “This is yet another handout to the coal power industry at the expense of our health, water, and wallets.” He is more than willing to make us drink poison and develop terrible cancers, all so his donors can save a little bit of money on cleaning up the toxic byproducts of their carbon pollution. There is nothing sacred to these nihilistic scumbags, no respect for anything but their own bottom lines.
