@eventinverse miv has also implied something to that effect about her life in the third age. it’s a bittersweet ending for her and backtracking halfway through the story only makes the showrunners look like cowards who don’t know what they’re doing. it’s not like they can change anything

and if season 3 really is a retcon then his unexpected return simply makes things awkward in SO many ways, the main one being that you can’t erase everything that came before. it doesn’t work that way. he’s her second choice forever now and also for 3 entire awkward seasons
