Healthy skepticism guards against falling for nonsense! We are not buying what #Clearlake #Blueco is selling! We need these billionaires to show us how they got ahead in life with the current state of #CFC as their lemon….show us the lemonade! Chelsea fans the world over deserve a break from this nightmare!!

🇸🇳 Senegal Holds Firm on AFCON Trophy 🏆
Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye just updated his profile picture and the AFCON trophy is clearly behind him.
The country has officially informed CAF that the trophy will not be returned until the Court of Arbitration for Sport makes its ruling.
It’s a bold statement. Thoughts? 💭

@osasuo @CAF_Online He needs to resign for this unwise decision! Who is he trying to convince….The African knows corruption!! And this decision reeks of it! @CAF_Online
English

This is the reaction of Patrice Motsepe, the @CAF_Online President, to the decision of the Appeals Board, stripping #Senegal of the 2025 #AFCON title and giving it to #Morocco. #Africa, what do you make of what Motsepe has said?
English

That doesn’t make sense. Rule says if a team left the field for more than 10 minutes, you forfeit. What does that mean! That rule exists for irregular conditions. You stop the game and award the points - you don’t continue the game. Rule also says referees decision is final. It is final for the penalty, final for continuing the game, and final after extra time. Anything outside the referees decision is board-room motivated and absolutely not football… it is something else
English

@simcha_9 @whitenigerian You cannot end an ongoing Match until it's 90 minutes and until given extra time is consumed
English

@Cruisertaxi @whitenigerian The game should have ended once said article 84 was established. Not a second after, no need for the game to resume, no need for the Diaz penalty, none of that . To allow all that to happen and reverse the verdict is incredibly unfortunate!!
English

@whitenigerian Good outcome! Article 84 clearly stated that any team that walks away from the pitch disguised as a protest has forfeited the game and records a loss. A coach who doesn't know game rules is not supposed to be a coach. Senegal blame Ur coach. CONGRATS MOROCCO
English

Well said @JacobsBen it is an absolute disgrace!! Morocco’s protest should have been immediate- not accept their penalty- miss it then remember somehow that some folks walked off. This is not fair play, it is weak and quite a sense of entitlement masquerading as justice. Senegal and ECOWAS countries need to protest this strongly! #AFCON #CAF #FIFA
English

Although AFCON rules state walking off or refusing to play for a prolonged period is grounds for elimination, the decision to strip Senegal of the AFCON title two months after their trophy lift is a bad look for CAF.
It should be within the power of the officials in real time to disqualify a team, but it's a hollow victory for Morocco to appeal and win in this manner, weeks after the trophy lift.
Morocco accepted Senegal's return from their 10-minute walk off, gladly resumed play and took their penalty.
Missing it, losing the game, then appealing to gain the trophy doesn't sit right, even if by the letter of the law there are grounds to do so.

English

@Blue_Footy This is a very unserious coach. Sometimes saying nothing is enough!!
English

@MaxFSport @londonslions I’m all about chances and all but this guy has demonstrated incredible naivety right from the first leg and a few other games. Doubt level is at an all time high
English

For all the shenanigans they portrayed as hosts, this is how poorly you decided to characterize their behavior. This is robbery of the level never imagined. Wait for the blow back. When you see all ECOWAS nations boycott the next tournament until this injustice is reversed…… it’s like a referee awarding a goal and then a board reversing such goal after the fact!! #CAF this is not right…..
English

This is not just a title written into the records, but a decision with a clear meaning: chaos, withdrawal, or tampering with the spirit of the match cannot be a path to glory.
Morocco were not pushed onto the podium as a courtesy, nor were they handed the trophy as a gift. They emerged from this situation as the side that upheld its presence and its right, while the other side failed the test of discipline and responsibility.
CAF’s decision did not simply change the result of a match — it redrew the entire picture: 3–0 officially, and Morocco are African champions.
At that point, the discussion is no longer about controversy, but about a reality confirmed by a clear continental ruling that puts an end to all the noise that tried to overshadow the core of the matter.
In the end, major titles are not decided only on the pitch, but also through respect for the laws of the game and the prestige of the competition.
And today, Morocco did not just win the trophy — they also won a moment that proves discipline and composure can sometimes be more decisive than ninety minutes.

English

That goal is ridiculous!!

Endrick… the closest thing to Pelé this generation might ever see. 🇧🇷🐐
English

@Oyinlola_cfc We’ve won it all. At this point how many times can we repeat. That’s it!!
English

This was a difficult watch. Happy to go through #CFC Stop the over-rotation it kills momentum and can be counterproductive. If the attempt was to rest J Pedro Cucurella it failed… they played perhaps more than they would have if you started them at the jump to settle this before substituting them.

Absolutely incredible stuff #COYB Good on you Joao!
