@DannPetty Who cares what the CMS is if it looks good and does what the client wants? Not really a wrong or right answer.

Reminder that people still use things like Wordpress, Wix, Squarespace and things. Framer is not dead. Webflow definitely isn’t dead. Only thing dead will be the project if you don’t use what the client wants and what works best for them.

@jkane 2 and 3. The 2nd option feels more modern and 3 is more retro. Both solid. I do prefer the "R" in option 2.

Have you ever gotten really excited about a design? And looked into the details and thought -- why didn't I think of that. Happened to me today. The design was on a color that was not quite white, and I can't believe how much of a difference it makes.

@Brodiesmith21 There are less than 10 elite level disc golf courses in the world. It's a big problem for the sport growth in my opinion.

You've got $10! What team are you assembling in order to shoot under par on Hole 8 (1111 ft, Par 5) at the Airborn Disc Golf Preserve: Black Bear? 🤔

@Crunchy_DG Island hole was just an example. A good course should challenge all aspects. Distance, accuracy, elevation, OB etc. Scoring separation will happen naturally. What is a course on tour that you think does the best job of creating separation?

@simoncarr Player separation is not the same as course separation. Two very different ideas. An island hole is not the only form of separation. Course design is something I've REALLY been deep diving into the past few years.

So... I just want to point out that a TON of people said Idlewild was too easy, but then complimented Smugs while Eagle shot 14 down. Or was that just my feed?

@Crunchy_DG I see what you're saying. I feel like it's up to the best players to create the separation. A course designer can only do so much. If every hole was an island hole it would create more separation but I can't imagine that being fun to watch or play.

@simoncarr Even on courses with good scoring separation, 10 shot lead nowadays is SUPER rare. I just mean a larger difference in scores from top to bottom. More variety, smart danger, etc. And show me truly the difference between a 1010 rated golfer vs a 1050. That kind of stuff.

@Crunchy_DG Gotcha. You are saying scoring separation.. would want to watch a tournament where the winner is ahead by 10 shots? I guess that scoring separation isn't always predictable like that, but as a fan I want to see a handful of people close at the end. Just my 2 cents.

@simoncarr Sorry, X doesn't have the characters for me to explain everything. Haha The LONG short, is when I say "harder" I mean they should have more scoring separation at the pro level. The made up concept of "par" in disc golf really means almost nothing to me.

@Crunchy_DG I don't think the issue is the courses not being hard enough. Some of the par 4/5 holes should be par 3/4 and then the scoring average wouldn't be as low. Idlewild is an older course, but one of the best. I believe it's in the top 5 if you were to ask pros to list favorites.

@simoncarr I think they -should- make courses harder but not stupid (manufactured OB by baskets, bad gaps, etc). That becomes a VERY fine line WR Jackson is still my favorite to watch be played and play myself. I play Idlewild like 4 times a year. Lol, it's OK, IMO. Historical for sure.

@Crunchy_DG I played Maple Hill last week. Top rated in the world and I can see why. Not sure it would be my pick, but it's definitely in the top 10. Overall udisc ratings are not reliable. Prefer dgcoursereview for that.

Udisc course ratings are one of two things: "#1 rated course in North America for a reason, I chained out once so 3/5 stars" Or "Literally built on a garbage dump with broken mattresses in the fairway, 5/5 stars"
