A lot of people have been wondering why support for nuclear power is so high among older white males, while support for renewables is higher among women and younger people. Here's my theory. #SayNoToNuclear #NoFalseSolution #Auspol

Aerial surveys have now confirmed what we all feared - a seventh mass bleaching event (the fifth in under a decade) is unfolding across the Great Barrier Reef. The Aus Gov has approved at least 5 new coal and gas projects since the last event. Every one further imperils the Reef.

Pleased to share the government's statement of priorities. Of particular interest to our partners in the region is the reaffirmation of our relations with Taiwan and our position on the Falepili Treaty with Australia.

Today I hear convos in Aus that are eerily similar to those I would hear in the Pacific a decade ago. We have much to learn from the region when it comes to challenges of relocation in the face of climate change. Thoughts with those still recovering in FNQ abc.net.au/news/2024-02-1…

Morning! A hot three days for Syd. Stay safe everyone! Unusually, the centre may be just as hot as the west. Coast will be a bit cooler, and the west hot but also dry, but the CBD will be both hot and humid. Excellent explainer here from @Laura_R_Chung smh.com.au/environment/we…

The total number of cyclones is likely decreasing. But those that do form have the potential to become more destructive.
