Heterogeneous Integration was the overarching theme at the recent @SEMIEurope 3D & Systems Summit, where the opening keynote was delivered by the industry's biggest HI champion, William Chen. He took the audience on a journey through time, looking at the origins of HI and the evolution of the intricate advanced packaging technologies that are enabling the world's most sophisticated technologies today. Being the HI Roadmap guy, he also shed light on what we can expect going forward through the next decade - and beyond. SEMI Europe President Laith Altimime set the stage alight himself when he described the significance of semiconductor technology and shared perspective on the trajectory towards a $1T #semiconductor market that is expected to be reached around 2030, or perhaps even sooner.
