@intel The CPU of the first computer I used in 1988 was an Intel 8086. It was an IBM PS/2 Model 25. The 8086 has always been very special to me. I also wrote my first assembler code on the 8086.

48 years ago this week, Intel introduced a 16-bit microprocessor that would go on to transform personal computing for decades to come.
