@EmilyGray1 Socials can be depressing places. It's part of the reason I want to leave when wannabe Edison takes over. You are an absolute delight! You bring music into the world, which is joy in the found of sound. In this insane time that can be hard to remember.

Social media is such an unhappy place. I see posts about my friends enthusiastically participating in shows, and going to shows. And I'm the only one among my friends who isn't allowed to do those things. It's like there's nothing for me to live for anymore.

@Nnedi There are more and more artists I won’t give money or attention. Some I won’t even view their works I already own. I used to be in the “separate” camp, but they’ve gotten too bad, too insistent on their evil.

I think the whole “separate the art from the artist” thing is just people not wanting to deal with THEMSELVES.

@SidneyMiller2 Don’t screen out resumes based on buzzword bingo. If a position goes unfilled for a couple of weeks, loosen the job requirements. Entry level jobs should require minimal/no experience, not certs that take a decade.

@SidneyMiller2 If you have an online portal, ask for each data item exactly once, including parsing the resume file. Reduce the inputs - save the details for post-offer job application. Don’t ask for 20 years experience in 10 year old languages.
