@simonheaton23 @George23212 @nwcfl I'm sure I'd get many as both players and officials are humans and humans make mistakes especially at step 5 and 6. Unless the clips are being used as genuine discussion or education then social media is not the place for them especially when the other side has no right to reply

@simonheaton23 @George23212 @nwcfl referee posting a clip of a player mistake and attacking the player for it. It is how you express your feelings, if referees spoke to managers like how they are spoken to managers wouldn't accept it.

@simonheaton23 @George23212 @nwcfl You might well know the laws but a lot of players and managers don't know them. Harry Kane showed he didn't know the offside law in a Champions League. What you are missing if the view and understanding of what it is like as a referee which I am trying to help with

@grassrootsrefJa @George23212 @nwcfl I really think you just want an argument here James , respectfully I know the rules I’ve played at a good level of football all my life I just want justification on some decisions made in games and if that’s not available after a game then the games gone

@simonheaton23 @George23212 @nwcfl To understand how hard it is to referee a game. If managers and players refereed some games they would understand the laws better and they would realise how hard a job it is. It would also help with the huge shortage of referees we have in this country.

@simonheaton23 @George23212 @nwcfl If you refereed a game you would realise how frustrating it gets when players and managers ask you to justify every single decision and often they have no interest in listening they just want an argument.

@George23212 @grassrootsrefJa @nwcfl Agree with this because when you try to ask why they give certain decisions after the game they just fuck us off and threaten to book us or report us I try my best and I’ve not had a booking for 2 seasons but sometimes it’s frustrating not to get answers

@grassrootsrefJa @simonheaton23 @nwcfl That’s the issue I think mate would have to be FA, but I think they should be encouraged to engage in conversation especially after games but a lot don’t want to. Some are trying to help. This is few by the way there is a few that are top. Opinions are opinions mate.

@staffsref @nwcfl Fair point I was still fuming when I wrote the post but reading these I sort of feel a bit sorry for them but what do the assessors do it’s week in week out mistakes that have an impact that’s all

@simonheaton23 @nwcfl Step 5/6 referees are on the first rung of the FA ladder. The best ones each season get promoted. New ones come up from county leagues, it's a big jump & you have to adapt fast. Assistants appointed by leagues (not FA) some are old & experienced. Others young & inexperienced.
