What is this ‘way of life’ you talk of? I’m not remotely religious, and I’ve no interest in any of the imported mythologies from the Middle East. I don’t go to church, I don’t pray to Mecca, and I don’t intend to start. But I’m not troubled by those who do. I rather like living in a free country where people have the right to believe, or not believe, without your permission. That’s called liberty. You seem to prefer a version of it that only applies to people like you.

Rep. Thomas Massie says Trump called him on the House floor after he pushed to release the Epstein files. Trump told him three times: "I'm coming at you like you've never seen in your life." This video was deleted from twitter yesterday, you know what to do ‼️‼️

Trump is demanding a supplemental budget for the Iran war that is three times larger than all US military aid to Ukraine since Russia attacked. The same isolationists who once claimed that the US couldn’t afford to help Ukraine stop Russia are now supporting it

In a jaw-dropping announcement, President Trump disclosed that George Soros and Reid Hoffman are funding Antifa and the left-wing violence against ICE. Trump vows to launch a RICO investigation into George Soros. Does Trump have your full support on this? Yes👍 No👎

@WestminsterWAG Sorry this happened to you but blaming Khan for it is exploiting for political purposes. He's not personally responsible for the moral disintegration of these idiots.

I took the 94 bus home from dinner with an old school friend tonight. I was harassed by a man, while another sat next to me apparently in hysterics at what was going on. It was fine: I’m far too long in the tooth to care about a couple of dickheads. But had I been younger, I would have been quite scared. It’s not right that women should have to put up with this bullshit. Not right at all. London is not safe. @SadiqKhan

While many people have been dissecting the power struggles and growing fissures within the Labour party, it might instead be timely to concentrate on what their senior figures all have in common. Behind the division and fratricidal scheming, they are united by the same raw desire to preserve their party at all costs. They seem to place its existence above all other considerations. ✍️ Patrick West Article | spectator.com/article/the-la…

Funny how the warnings were dismissed at the time. Now the consequences are starting to show. Sometimes the chickens really do come home to roost.

Absolute bombshell. The Pentagon just admitted that Trump put real estate developer Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner in charge of nuclear negotiations with Iran. When their amateur diplomacy failed, they launched a massive war. Incompetence at the highest level!

The cultural divide between America and Japan is likely too vast to even attempt to explain how this wasn’t actually said in malice (everyone I personally know who saw this meeting laughed at the line). But believe me when I say the average American bears no ill will towards Japan for events from over 80 years ago.

Oddly as you age you remember more and more of your early memories whereas you can’t remember what you did yesterday. I think it may be your brain reviewing everything as you begin to pass away…. Not a bad thing but do write it down!
Rick Trethewey@rainboanimation

@EricIdle I've had an ample number of "senior moments", but I was amazed when, about a month ago, the name of a teacher I had in high school in 1968, which I've been blanking on for *decades*, suddenly popped into my head. Out of the blue - thinking of something "completely different".

This is tariff logic cranked up to full insanity. There’s no strategy here. None. We’re talking about effectively opening the door to Iranian oil while global prices are already spiking past $100 a barrel because of the war. At the same time, easing pressure on Russian oil has already been flagged as funneling billions back into Putin’s war machine. So what’s the genius move? Drive prices up with chaos, then scramble to “fix” it by rewarding the very regimes you’re supposed to be containing. That’s not policy. That’s economic self-sabotage with a geopolitical bonus for your enemies. What the hell are they doing?
The Tennessee Holler@TheTNHoller

After un-sanctioning Russian oil (much to Putin’s delight) — Bessent now says Trump is UN-sanctioning Iranian oil to “use it against them” 🙃 A damn circus🎪
