@Helen_Whately Says an mo on around £100000pa plus expenses, who doesn’t need to worry about her money stretching further. We can have a debate about the benefits system anytime. Most mp’s could not live on it.

You don't get a pay rise when you have a child. You make your money go further. But from this month, your taxes are funding households on benefits an extra £3,560 per child with no limit. Labour scrapped the 2-child benefit cap & put up benefits. People are asking - why work?

Why should @waitrose customers pay a premium to cover your shoplifting costs when you fire a bloke who actually wanted to stop a shoplifter?!
Patrick Christys@PatrickChristys

So a bloke who worked for @waitrose for 17 years tackled a shoplifter in Clapham, the same area we’ve seen rampant lawlessness … and Waitrose FIRED him?! Disgraceful. They should thank him & give him a pay rise. What message is Waitrose sending to employees…and shoplifters?!

@PatrickChristys @waitrose There is regrettably a simple answer to this question. It's because either side would sue if something went wrong. The employee could be hurt or worse, and could sue his employer. Or we live in such a way that if excessive force was used on the thief, they could sue and win.

@TheNorfolkLion @IcelandFoods Hi @IcelandFoods, my elderly mother & myself we both have weekly deliveries from Iceland. We are suspending our orders with you because we are very concerned with who you are employing to deliver your goods. Please can you tell me what you have done with this gentleman? Thank you

An Iceland van driver in High Wycombe refused to give way to a bus, then completely lost it and turned his rage on the bus driver and the person recording the incident. Is this how you train your drivers to act @IcelandFoods?

@Parody_RCGP @acameron375 I agree to a point. It’s not just political though. At our practice the Gp’s have named secretaries who could helm with the research. Physician assistants could also be used for this. Practices have more staff than ever because of ARRS. Whether they are the correct roles?

I was phoned by the GP in response to my entry on the app. I was sent a message advising me they had my test results & I should make an appointment within 2 weeks. The conversation went ‘what can I do for you?’. ‘You were the ones who asked me to make an appt’ ‘Did we’ ‘Yes’ etc

@goodwin_ju12864 @GMB There is a reason behind that though isn't there? Fear. It's not the service user at fault, it's your employer and financial constraints. People who should be 2/1 are 1/1. A dementia sufferer, cannot help it either for example, it's brain functionality and damage.

@GMB I work with autistic children and we are subjected to their physical abuse and attacks every day & we're told to put up with it because they're autistic! Doesn't surprise me about this, there is more and more violence in this country, no excuse for any violence towards anyone

@simonk8270 @GMB You might see a rise if prices go up, but fixing gives you predictable, stable bills for a set period—at the risk of missing drops.

Energy bills are predicted to rise by more than £300 per year this summer as the war on Iran causes gas prices to spiral. The leading forecaster Cornwall Insight says the typical sum most households will pay will rise to £1,973 a year.

@StagecoachEMid morning could someone have a look please. The next 19/a towards Worksop is running about 30 minutes late. The one after is cancelled. That is a long time to wait, especially when there will be capacity issues with the late one.

You don’t get a pay rise from your employer when you have another child. But Labour MPs think people on benefits should get ££££ from taxpayers for every child they have. Hear them cheer at spending billions more on benefits when it’s unfair & the country can’t afford it.

@IsabelOakeshott @Nigel_Farage @TiceRichard So when their working week starts on Monday morning, yet again they will not be available to represent their constituents in the commons, but full pay continues I guess. You can guarantee that if the PM did the same thing, it would be "never here Kia"

@Parody_RCGP @nightsong53 No. Practices know their patients better than anyone else or they should do. They have a duty under the equality act 2010 to provide reasonable adjustments where appropriate like mine does. If they don't financial consequences need to apply.

It seems to me that GP practices insist on NHS app because that is policy. If u cant use an app then tough. They dont recognise the Equalities Act 2010 but they are going to learn they have to. Stop using apps. Demand your right to alternative methods of communicating.

@LBC You cannot determine someone's tax status straight away. What you can do is charge for the flight so that there is no loss to the taxpayer. If they cannot pay, then it should be treated as a loan and paid back!
