I get pulled out of bars & restaurants for questioning every 2-3 yrs. I keep my hands visible at all times. My ID is in a tiny pocket so it’s not mistaken for a weapon. I approach the convo like I’m a retail manager trying to placate a customer. I know I have it easy.

The first time I witnessed racial profiling in-person was in 2007 - me @kenyatta and @kellysutton were sitting in a restaurant. The police enter and without asking any questions point to @kenyatta to come outside. Our table was furious. I couldn’t believe it. #BlackLivesMatter
