@CJHall83 It would be a major plus to sign him. He added an extra dimension to our play- especially our attacking options . Attacking full backs are a must in today’s game. I for one really hope we can get him on a permanent transfer

This would be a huge signing. He’s been so good for us, give us dynamism on that right which balances with Styles on the left and he’s still so young that he’s only going to get better. Really hope we can get this done. #wba
John Percy@JPercyTelegraph

#wba want to sign Crystal Palace full-back Danny Imray on a permanent deal this summer. Imray was a key player for Albion after signing on loan in January. Any transfer likely to be delayed while Palace appoint a new head coach but Imray is a top target for James Morrison

@AlbionAnalysis He’s clearly a decent player - but I would guess Mozza - for whatever reason- doesn’t even want him on the bench. There’s only one sensible outcome-he needs to go.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 A lot of chat about Chris Mepham on this week’s pod. ❌ The defender hasn’t played a minute under Mozza in the league this season despite the Baggies’ boss saying saying he’s been available for a few weeks now. ⁉️ Would you let him go this summer? #wba

@AndyfromNewHamp @_ChrisLepkowski He looked totally at ease -as if he had played in the team all season. Strength and mobility in CM are qualities we have been lacking for a while-he clearly has both.Mozza’s words indicated he may get a chance next season. I hope so-I have a feeling he could be something special

@_ChrisLepkowski First impressions, I thought I saw something there, he wasn't phased, of course a solid loan spell will do him the world of good, where you are judged on matches not minutes. Having the confidence to see out a whole loan, like Fellows did and not return early like Whitwell is key

Why do people fall for this scoundrel’s claims to be a patriotic man of the people?

The Nigel Farage Guide to Being a Working-Class Hero Step 1: Be born to a City stockbroker. Step 2: Attend Dulwich College, fees currently £53,000 a year. Step 3: Skip university. Become a City commodities trader instead. Step 4: Run one of your metal broking firms into insolvency. Step 5: Get elected to the European Parliament. Spend the next 21 years drawing a salary from the institution you're paid to dismantle. Step 6: Claim £15,500 a year in expenses for an office your party was given rent-free. Step 7: Put your wife on the EU parliamentary payroll. Take her off only when the rules force you to. Step 8: Get investigated by the EU's anti-fraud office. Eventually have half your MEP salary docked to repay misused public funds. Step 9: Throw a Brexit victory party at the Ritz. Decry the "professional political class" to a room of millionaires. Step 10: Take £450,000 in personal gifts from Arron Banks. House. Car. Lifestyle. Step 11: Take £5 million, undisclosed, from a Bangkok-based crypto billionaire. Days later, announce you're standing for parliament after all. Step 12: Win Clacton. Take the £93,904 MP salary. Add £1.2 million a year from GB News at £2,300 an hour. Become the highest-earning MP in the House of Commons. Step 13: Speak in parliament fewer times than any other party leader. Fly to America at least nine times in your first year. Refuse to hold in-person constituency surgeries. Holiday in France while parliament is sitting. Step 14: Tell the working class you're one of them. Tell them to vote against their own interests, over and over again. Pint, mate?

@rickyleegriffi A fit Maja is a class act - yes. His track record does suggest he’ll have a move lined up already though. If both were fully fit I’d keep both - but to keep one would be enough of a gamble. Dike is probably more likely to stay of the 2. Money will be the deciding factor….

#cpfc fans, is it likely that Danny Imray will be offered a new contract this summer? He's had a huge impact at #wba since joining on loan and we'd love to keep him!

@CJHall83 As long as Matt Gill is in the equation I’d be happy very happy for Mozza to get the job. Gill has the expertise and experience that Mozza needs as a young coach - without this we would be setting him up to fail. Fingers crossed we get both signed up sooner rather than later

Hopefully the next thing to look forward is an announcement that James Morrison is our manager on a permanent basis. It’s not an emotional decision, what he’s done is incredible. Tactically very good, a great motivator and players understand their jobs. Sign him up! #wba

@CJHall83 @SteveHermon He is close to being a top player. His work rate and attacking threat are credit to him but he needs to work on cutting out the sloppy mistakes when receiving(and then giving away)the ball. I also think he would score more if he stops rushing his final shot. Good things to come!

I thought he was fantastic & has been for a while now. I also loved his interview with @SteveHermon after the game too. Talked eloquently about his season & put the Portsmouth incident into its proper context. I think we will see the best of him consistently next term. #wba

@DanNash86 You’re absolutely right about Heggebo - no one has worked harder than him. I still think Styles should win it - but I’d create a new award for Heggebo - based on pure endeavour 😉 Let’s hope he gets better service season

A huge win for Reform in Salford last night. The Labour vote dropped by 30 points. This is the best sign yet!

My vote… Callum Styles. The most consistent performer across a largely difficult season 🏆 #WBA Honourable mention for George Campbell. Did his best at RB & been immense since moving to his natural position. If there was a most improved award it would absolutely be Diakite.

@CJHall83 I’d definitely keep him. There’s something about him I like - probably because he seems very proactive and aware. His distribution gets some stick - but I don’t think it’s that bad. Some of his long passes and throw outs have been better than we have seen for a long time tbf

I’m a fan of O’Leary, he’s reliable and he makes the big save when it’s required of him. His kicking isn’t the best but if we are going to stick with these tactics rather than play out from the back then that’s not a huge issue. I’d seriously consider keeping him! #wba

@CJHall83 No other player in the squad has come anywhere near his consistency this season. At the start of the season he was a midfielder playing at left back - to his credit no-one is saying that any more. He has developed into an excellent fullback and one of the first names on the sheet

There have been other contenders, namely George Campbell and Jayson Molumby, but nobody has been anywhere near as consistent as Styles for me. And he’s been brilliant at LB, in CM and has even done a job on the LW at times. He’s the clear choice for me! #wba

@CJHall83 It’s a difficult one. Maja may already be gone- given his previous record. Maybe Dike on a pay as you play deal? - the others on vastly reduced terms. If they get offered more they’ll all go. Wallace would make sense to keep, especially if we sign some younger players.

There’s a lot of talk about should we keep any of the out of contract players. All I’d say is, if we lose them all, we are replacing almost all our striker & wide attacker options in one window! That is a lot, and we struggled to replace our whole defence last summer. #wba

@RobDorsettSky @JPercyTelegraph @GoldbergRadio @BuzagloToBalis @AliJones9 Hang on - the club had to borrow money BECAUSE Lai had literally stolen (I use that term without hesitation) money from the club with the Wisdom Smart “loan” that was made unlawfully by his stooge (then sole director of the club), Ke Xu, in blatant breach of his fiduciary duty to only act in the best interests of the company (being the football club) which that “loan” made to Wisdom Smart very clearly was not! I sent several emails to Ke Xu about this (I have copies), pointing out his blatant breach of fiduciary duty and demanding to know as a shareholder what he was doing to enforce repayment from Wisdom Smart. Every email was totally ignored. I also sent emails about it to the club’s auditors, Azets (I still have copies) who were obviously very interested. Crucially I sent an email to Rick Parry (Chairman) and Trevor Birch (Chief Executive Officer) of the EFL on 20th January 2023 about Lai’s “loan”, which led to two video calls with their “very interested” colleagues Mark Rowan (Chief Communications Officer) and Nick Craig (Chief Operating Officer) in May 2023 about all the shenanigans. I made them aware of facts regarding the Chinese ultimate beneficial ownership of the club which neither they nor the Premier League (who originally approved Lai as “fit and proper”) knew nothing about. Because of those illegal acts by Xu, as Lai’s puppet, money unlawfully disappeared from the club, leaving it days away from going into administration. If the club may potentially now suffer a points deduction some 3 years later directly because of the club having no option but to pay interest on expensive MSD loans taken out by Lai to literally keep the club in existence because he was unable to repay his own unlawful Wisdom Smart “loan”, then this would be a disgraceful gross injustice by the EFL and must be fully exposed and challenged. No sane person would deem that to a breach worthy of a points deduction. The EFL was made fully aware of the situation regarding that Wisdom Smart loan and if they cannot now locate their emails to refer to, I do still have them all. The EFL has had an absolute stinker here on multiple fronts (as did the Premier League before them) and they need to recognise that and immediately dismiss any charge against the club.
Rob Dorsett@RobDorsettSky

#wbafc: key area of dispute between Albion and EFL is over interest payments on loans taken out by Lai. If those £5m payments are included in PSR calculations, they are in breach. Club claims they shouldn’t be. Full explanation here. skysports.com/share/13532064
