Wow, this has been quite the month (and a half)! I'm finally done with all 30 #nodevember prompts! Each is made from a sphere primitive with a procedural shader in Blender. Thanks to everyone for the amazing support and overwhelmingly positive feedback! :) #nodevember2019 #b3d

@IRCSS Yes, and then there's also the Endpoint Selection node

Extermly simple but very useful geometry node tips. If you have unconnected cruves in one geo and you want to get the tips of each spline, use points of curve to mark points that are on open end.

@manujarvinen Hm,that shouldn't be necessary. In theory you should just be able to make the tool node-group an asset, put it in your library and then it should pop up in the menu. I showed that here: youtu.be/Y8Udi1AkdGY?si… If something there doesn't work anymore then that might be a bug.

Okay, my current work-method with it: - open node_tools-example_zoo.blend - save as new file - append everything you want to fracture into it - now the fracturing works as intended

@ScalesSimon This is a bit out of context, not sure I get what you mean. You could generate points dynamically based on proximity and use a for-each zone. That's really not how it was inteded to be used though, the idea was to have something controllable, so some changes might be required.

@simonthommes Hey there, how did you go about creating the impact fracture node setup? Can it be combined with a rigid body object using a proximity node?

Hey, @simonthommes would you happen to know why my transparancy isn't working on custom brush strokes? I copied the node group and inserted my own file into the image format.

@KM4desiigns If it's just emissie fire like here, you can render it in front of a black background and then set the blend mode of that footage to add

@simonthommes Hello, would you know any advice for rendering fire in cycles, but with transparency and for it to be rendered in animation? Being an animation, the fire is not saved, only the object. Thanks

@soyposmoderno Thanks for the support, I hope it proves to be useful :) For intersections, we def discussed it. For the most part this gave solid enough results that would hide them. Then a lot was designing a forgiving pattern. And the rest we made sure that we had manual control for fixes.

Thanks for the write-up, Simon! Just renewed my subscription to be able to read it :) I don't think I've read anything related to the shards colliding with each other to avoid intersections among the pieces. Is this something that the team discussed during the making of the piece?

@BlenderStudio_ Is that from the new updated version? Just asking because I haven’t looked much into it and I‘m still on a lower version

I’m developing a new animation sustem for #blender3d . Draw trajectories on the screen and trace the speed as a graph, and go. Works for armatures + objects, soon public. Early access for my tipeee subscribers, if you wanna support and test it now! 🙏🙏 en.tipeee.com/dedouze/news/2…
