new new physics nodes for hair and cloth. I am not terribly interested in those, except the XPBD Solver node could proabbly be hijacked again for other calculations. Going down that houdini path, it would be awesome if there are bunch of solvers that can be used more generically

Some amazing @Blender 5.2 updates regarding geo nodes. First is bundles being able to attach to geometry. I was always passing on samish type of bundle around (edge coordinates, unique seeds etc.), this cleans up the node tree abit and simplify that

@iquilezles Awesome smooth max video. The bias would always shift the peaks and valleys of the function as well and not just the transitions no? How do you usually deal with that when keeping those constant is impoartant? A seperate constant term outside of the smooth max?

Ever wish 3D modelling was more like playing with Legos? This free tool brings that feeling back. Less vertex fighting, more playing to procedurally generate churches, windmills, trees....too much to name Masterful work by @IRCSS 👏 Download link in the comment

@Vizor_tm when hiring you have these different categories, those who can program or those who can script. in lets say unity for better or worse both are forced to use c#, in unreal one c++ and another blueprint. So for alot of hires, blueprint will be have to be part of your project

@IRCSS What's forcing you to use Blueprints again?

I have seen a lot of takes around epic phasing out blueprints. Smaller studios that use unreal miss the point that the profitable customers are bigger games with different needs. Blueprints have serious performance, versioning, debugging and maintenance cost.

@morphysw @OverJumpRally the attempt here is not to get everyone to use C++, but to move from a visual based scripting to a text based that is easier to version control, debug, maintenance etc. Again, there is no real practical differences between lets say c# and blueprint in how hard they are to learn

@morphysw @OverJumpRally I see. There is an assumption made here though, which is designers can't equally use scripting languages that are not visually based. My own experience hiring designers, its way easier to find someone that can do unity + C# that find one that knows blueprint

@morphysw @OverJumpRally what do you mean with no code? blueprints are still code. It proved that a good team, with a good vision can make a good game (no news there). That team would have probably make an equally good game with a vast array of different possible tools/ scripting languages.
