Out of school I got a job at an ad agency. I wanted to be a copywriter but I didn't have the confidence to ask. So instead I was a "Media Services Associate" which amounted to one year of pretending to work on Google Ads and convincing distracted clients that whatever we're doing was working. One year later I was fired, because I obviously didn't give a shit and couldn't pretend well-enough for my managers to keep me on the payroll. I remember HR girlboss Nicole Tang broke the news to me one morning on an impromptu Zoom call and I smiled so wide, knowing I was free. And I had 6 months of severance pay. I didn't tell my girlfriend I was fired because I thought it would make her love me less. Instead I drove 14 hours East from Seattle to Pocatello Idaho to attend a 12 day silent meditation retreat called Vipassana. I was the youngest person there. The first day was orientation and the next 10 days were silence and the last day was for talking again. It was on that last day that I first told anyone in reality, that I wanted to be a writer. Or, more concretely, that the way I wanted to make a living was by writing and selling books. It's a hard thing to say, because of how it sounds. So I spent the next 6 months collecting unemployment, not trying to find another job, just writing, writing, writing, writing, journal entries that would eventually become Worst Boyfriend Ever.

We could easily see further downside and much lower if this global recession gets worse. The global treasury market is cooked. We hvae literlaly never seen this.. The Hormuz strait has cuased permanent damage to the west and east economies. Before this we already had the japense liquidity crisis, which supplied the majority of liquidity to Crypto *carry trade* Lets not forget the already deepening treasury and deficit crisis in the USA + Prive EQUITY/CREDIT coming unglued. Record amoutn of insitutions requesting funding from the feds overnight faciltiies.. bad .. ugly . The lack of liquidity is insane right now.. This Iran war is what opened the lid and will divert even more liquidity from risk assets. Over next few months we will see big bounces across the board, but they will be setups for exit liqudiity and distribution. I thikn we are finally getting our recessions after 20 years of kicking the can down the road. Thank sDonald.

When it comes to shadow work, people talk about selfishness, jealousy, violence, etc.. but as usual, miss the other, also important part: For a depressed, anxious, struggling, etc person with problems - a powerful (and required) part of shadow work is exploring feelings of empowerment, pleasure, hope.. testing those boundaries in the world, even bullying someone, etc. It's literally diving into & exploring the things you're resisting, avoiding, are seemingly away from, etc. Both inside & outside. The shadow of a bag of shit is.. a bag of gold - surprise surprise. It's funny how literally EVERYONE skips this part.

Appreciate this, also saw the idea of Jumper, I'm always interested in these kinds of things and for sure "awakening is the same for all" has truth to it, At the same time the unfolding of awakening is unique to each, and the unique expression of nature would also be unique in all, So the fact that this book so closely resembles Jed's stuff (some other person arranging an interview, hiding in bushes watching people who might notice, as two examples offhand) make me severely doubt the integrity of whatevers going on here, not in a malicious way but moreso underselling of uniqueness
