I hate the spotlight. The stage is a scary place. I just want a quiet life. But this cause is worth it. Lucy is worth it. This is not just about Lucy. What has happened to me and Lucy will happen again. It will repeat, over and over. In Kalamazoo, Michigan. In Walla Walla, Washington. In Schenectady, New York. To Joe and Buddy. To Mike and Sadie. To Jane and Teddy. It will happen to them, but nobody will know. They will love their dogs no less than I love Lucy, but nobody will hear their story. It will not steal the spotlight the way Lucy's story has. They will cry out for justice, but it will be in vain. Few will listen. Few, but the Lord above will. God put Lucy and me in the spotlight to be their voice. To advocate for Joe, Mike, and Jane. To advocate for Buddy, Sadie, and Teddy. To push for change. Lord, let me live up to the responsibility you have placed on my shoulders. This crap needs to never happen again. I condemn the deadly attack on a mosque in San Diego. My thoughts are with those affected. I know many Muslims in the UK will be shaken by this, worried about their safety when going about their lives and attending mosque, and what it says about the times we’re living in. I understand those fears. Violence like this does not happen in a vacuum. It grows in an environment where division and anti-Muslim hostility are normalised. That is intolerable. We must all come together against it.

Another stark reminder to adopt, don’t shop. 🐾 This is Elsa. She was adopted and returned twice before they scheduled her ☠️. The first photo was taken the day she was supposed to be euthanized. The second photo is Elsa today at the Freedom Farm…happy, safe, loved, running free, and finally living the life she always deserved. ❤️ Just 5 months of love changed everything. She was not a “bad girl.” She just needed a home. There are so many incredible dogs sitting in shelters right now, just waiting for someone to give them a chance. 🥺 If only we could save them all. Because deep down, I know if the tables were turned… they would save us. 🙏 🐾
