The Balikatan is an annual joint military exercise between the US and the Philippines, which is conducted to enhance interoperability between the Armed Forces and improve combat readiness and disaster response capabilities. Including Canada!

Breaking: Japan just passed a significant bill today to establish a National Intelligence Council and a National Intelligence Bureau. This reform is one of the most consequential changes to Japan's security apparatus since 1952.
