I don’t think it’s right to argue over ₹50–100 for a toll. The toll staff was speaking very politely and clearly said, “You can file a complaint. If we receive an official order, we will let you go.! It’s good that you are in the Army, and that deserves respect. But he also mentioned that the exemption applies to personnel who are on duty.

An Army officer (salary ₹1L–₹2L) rolls up in his Mahindra SUV, off-duty and traveling with his wife. Refuses to pay the toll. I really hope the Army top brass is watching this video. Kudos to the toll-Boy: Polite, Professional despite the nonsense!

Reading some of the comments, not sure what's the debate about?? A plain clothed army man, moving with his family in his personal vehicle is not "official purpose" .. why do we as a society have such a big problem in simply following the rules. Yes, the rules may be unfair, but address that to the right forum, why harrass a toll worker who is simply doing his job? btw I found his respectful yet professional behavior absolutely impressive.

@NeerajRanjan84 @MihirkJha An army personnel is assigned in so many duty do you think he should explain to the toll person that he is on int.duty or any such assignment which he can't disclose to anybody & above all when bureaucrats/ police pay toll tax..?

लोग चर्चा कर रहे हैं जिस तरह से नेपाल, श्रीलंका और बांग्लादेश में सत्ता को जनता ने उखाड़ फेका है क्या भारत में ऐसा नहीं हो सकता । कुछ लोग ऐसा होने की संभावना तक जता रहे हैं । वास्तव में परिस्थितियाँ वैसी ही हैं और कुछ मामलो में अधिक लेकिन हमारा संविधान ऐसा करने से रोकता है। हमारी लोकतंत्र की जड़ें बहुत गहरी हैं जिसे कांग्रेस ने डाला है ।
