In 2016, Danny Drinkwater was starting regularly for Leicester City as they pulled off the impossible and won the Premier League.
A year later, a move to Chelsea was meant to take him to the next level. Instead, injuries and a loss of form saw his career stall completely.
When his contract ended in 2022, no clubs came calling. With no realistic path back into the top level of the game, Drinkwater chose to retire.
Today, he runs his own company on a construction site in England.

Fletcher is a central midfielder, brought on to play wide right, when that is literally Lacey’s position.
Heaven has been our best defender, gets taken off for no reason.
Dorgu plays well at right wing, having struggled at left wing back, so he’s put back to left wing back.
Team told to sit behind the ball vs a team with 2 points all season, at Old Trafford.
