I’ve written to the Minister urging immediate action to ensure the State purchases a major landholding in the Wicklow Mountains, including the summit of Lugnaquilla, ahead of its auction on May 1st. At €2 million, down from €7 million, this is a rare opportunity we cannot afford to miss. There is already strong international interest in the land. It would be unacceptable for such a treasured and iconic landscape to fall into private ownership. This land should be protected for the public, not sold to the highest bidder. Time is short, and action is needed now. The right decision is clear, this belongs in public ownership. I’ve also launched a petition so people can show their support. c.org/R2gF9qXVgV

Only a Sinn Féin led government will stand up for workers in the public and private sectors. That means respecting our workers, delivering on health, education, housing, and creating better working conditions and fairer wages. It means protecting the rights of trade unions. It means tackling the cost of living, delivering affordable housing to buy and to rent, delivering €10 a day childcare for all children, and abolishing the USC for all workers on the first €45,000 earned. On 29th November vote to change the government. Vótáil Sinn Féin. #imbackingbrady #electbrady24 #ge24 #ge2024 #wicklow

The only way to deal with the housing crisis is to change the government. Sinn Féin has the costed plan to make homes more affordable and bring home ownership back into reach for working people. A Sinn Féin led Government will start delivering this plan from day one in government

We have witnessed gross recklessness and incompetence from Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael in dragging the Apple Tax case out over the past eight years. The parties of government, who lecture fiscal prudence, recklessly sought to obstruct €14bn that the state was due - during a time when they were imposing austerity on people. We can never fully undo the harm done to people during austerity, but this verdict gives us a chance to finally move on from this shameful episode. #apple #rtept

Sinn Féin's plan is to deliver full-time childcare for €10-per-day, per-child. We want to make Ireland a better place to raise a family and build your future. Our plan will deal with the issue of capacity and access to places, ensure that in the first year of a child's life a parent can be at home with their baby if they wish, and we will improve pay and conditions for childcare workers and early educators. You can read our fully costed plan here: childcare.sinnfein.ie

Change starts here, with the local and European elections. If you want change, you have to vote for it in the European elections, in the local elections, and in the General Election when it comes. #changestartshere

Delighted to offer my congratulations to Denise Cahill, Mick Ryan, and Dermot 'Daisy' O'Brien following their selection at the recent convention in Bray to represent Sinn Féin in the next local elections. Taken individually each of the three has a stellar record in their community, and their personal qualities are very apparent. But it is as a team that will fight for Bray, Enniskerry and Kilmac and it is as a team that their strength and formidable nature has the greatest potential to impact on local politics, not just in Bray Municipal District, but across Wicklow. Denise has lived and worked in Bray her whole life where she currently works in Family Support and Community Development, which gives her a unique perspective on the challenges our communities face. Cllr. Mick Ryan is another Bray native, reared on the Old Soldiers Road, he now lives in Herbert Park. He has long been a part of the sporting fabric of the town, where he is also well known for his pursuit of equality and fairness as a trade union activist. Cllr. Dermot ‘Daisy’ O’Brien, who was elected as Bray person of the year in 2016, is well known throughout Bray. He has served on the Council since his co-option to replace outgoing Cllr Michael O’Connor and his election in 2019. Where his record stands for itself. A long-time community activist of over 25 years’ experience, Dermot continues to work in the youth sector in addition to his service on the Council. They will be going forward as part of the largest and strongest team of Sinn Féin candidates that the party has ever put forward here in Wicklow. People in Wicklow are demanding change, and this team of Sinn Féin candidates are the people who have the potential to deliver on that.

The Government has no plan for immigration. Their approach has been nothing but shambolic from the outset. We need a rules based system that is fair, efficient and enforced with proper communication with communities. @johnbradysf

I am absolutely delighted to be in the position to offer my congratulations to both Abbie O’Loughlin, and Anthony Hill following their selection at recent conventions in the Wicklow East constituency to represent Sinn Féin in the next local elections. Abbie is from Rathnew and is currently in her final year studying History and Politics in UCD. She is an active and enthusiastic member of the GAA and has played for Rathnew ladies GAA. Anthony is from Wicklow Town, and is employed as a social care worker, supporting adults with autism. He is also someone who actively gets involved with volunteering his time with young people. Both Abbie and Anthony are committed to their local communities. And offer the opportunity to Wicklow East to elect two new and strong advocates for the area. They are 2 brilliant candidates.

The current public transport system in Wicklow is not fit for purpose. We need a public transport system that works for people. I want to hear the views of Wicklow people so I’m carrying out a survey. To do the survey 👇🏻 surveymonkey.com/r/CVQY3GM
