Do you guys agree or disagree with Morj here? Cuz after watching the video... I think he "kinda" cooked . But the major difference in the examples he brought up and why I disagree to an extent is that... . 1: Those other fakeouts happened in the arcs they were introduced or in a relatively short timeframe, so the emotional attachment to those "deaths" was more fresh. But that's not the case for Saul's, it's been years since his death and apparent reintroduction. So it doesn't take anything away from what you experience in the timeframe where it matters, only effects it in retrospect . 2: The story of Ohara was always much more than Saul. He was never the crux of Robin's story, whereas that's not the case with say Bellemere or Corazon. Saul's death didn't fundamentally "change" Robin in any way as it did with most other characters that had a pivotal character in their life pass away. . 3: Him surviving is not ridiculous, as we've seen many other characters survive Aokiji's ice even if it was presented as a death. Not that this excuses fakeouts but it doesn't make it feel AS cheap . That being said, I recognize how it could be perceived as cheap or bad writing. But to me, for the reasons listed above, as well just how well the reunion was executed, it didn't matter to me. Definitely not even close to one of the most egregious ones imo
