Justice Crack shares his first experience in DSS custody: According to him, after days of being blindfolded and held by unidentified men who initially claimed to be DSS operatives, he was eventually taken to an actual DSS facility on April 30th. He said upon arrival, his blindfold was removed for the first time in days, and DSS officials calmly reassured him that he was safe. He was given food, taken for medical checks, and later provided a bed where he finally slept comfortably. Justice Crack further stated that throughout his stay, the DSS officials he interacted with treated him professionally and respectfully. According to him, he was neither assaulted nor threatened, and officials ensured he had food and basic care while investigations continued. He, however, noted that while his personal experience with the DSS was professional, there is still room for improvement, especially in the speed of investigations and administrative processes. He emphasized that this was strictly his personal experience and account.

ATIKU GETS 68824 VOTES YO WIN ADC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES IN SOKOTO Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has won the African Democratic Congress presidential primary in Sokoto State, polling a total of 68,824 votes to defeat his closest challengers. Atiku’s tally dwarfed that of fellow aspirants Hayatu-Deen and Rotimi Amaechi, who managed 319 and 292 votes respectively. Declaring the results at the ADC secretariat in Sokoto, Returning Officer Prof Aminu Abubakar announced Atiku as the winner after securing the “highest lawful votes” cast during the exercise. Prof Abubakar described the process as transparent, noting that delegates conducted themselves peacefully throughout the accreditation, voting, and collation phases. He commended party officials and security agents for maintaining order. The primary, which drew party faithful from all 23 local government areas of Sokoto State, was monitored by ADC national observers and INEC representatives. Voting began early and concluded without major hitches.
