Warfare is where the young and stupid are tricked into attacking themselves for the course of the old and bitter who may later unite for a common interest. In politics, only the foolish fight and 'die' in such a war! -Ogbeni Labzy (2024)

@OxWhitelaw @IOlugbami @_sergiotun @macsobo Oh Yes, security improved generally in Oyo state when Ajimobi became Governor… You might not understand this is you don’t know what Oyo used to be 2008 -2010. Eradicating bank robbery in a state capital like Ibadan is no mean feat. AJ achieved it, and nothing changes this fact

@sirlabzy @IOlugbami @_sergiotun @macsobo Don’t shift goal post you began the whole arguing with “AJIMOBI LEFT A BETTER OYO STATE THAN HE MET IN 2011” using security as a case study…So tell me to you only ibadn is the responsibility of the governor abi the rest are just numbers right???

Oyo had her peculiar security challenges, largely NURTW crisis, gang wars, armed robbery etc. Iwo road to Idi-Ape were dreaded areas by 2010- 2011 With AJ’s security plan, and there was no single bank robbery in Ibadan for 8 years, NURTW ‘coupled’ and people generally felt safer
SARKIN Enigma♐@authorityenigma

What was the situation of the country during the regime of Ajimobi, was is the situation of the country now Insecurity was limited to one or two regions in the country back then, but today their is no region that is not dealing with insecurity Everyone have their opinion on him

@UnclesamTBN @Jersda94 He was set free after serving his jail term Contrary to your take, the term of imprisonment takes effect from the time a sentenced person is incarcerated…So, someone arrested and kept in custody in 2012 might be sentenced in 2016 or even later but the jail-term counts from 2012

Auxiliary was already out of prison before the failure Ajimobi left govt house. Does that mean Ajimobi released him? Fast forward to now, Auxiliary is in prison, why did you not add that? Nemesis will catch up on you one of these days. Keep going
Oloye Akin Alabi@akinalabi

Restoring security in Oyo state is one of Gov Ajimobi’s legacy. When asked about the dreaded Auxiliary, man said he doesn’t care about Auxiliary or Back Axle that if you mess up, you’re going to jail. When he left, Auxiliary returned and became the don on the streets again.

@Iphacy @israel_ogunremi You have been corrected that the event you are referring to happened pre-Ajimobi, but you want to force a dead narrative down our throats. Since you seem so certain, kindly show a single news publication to back-up your claim. Thanks

@Dokun_S @akinalabi Nobody released Auxiliary… He served his jail term and he was set free in accordance to the law. It is laughable that people are denying that Auxiliary was in Seyi’s corner pre-2019, till the 2023 elections… That means you people know are not proud of the GSM-Aux alliance

@akinalabi Who released auxillary? And you as a federal constituency rep., what did you do to escalate the issue? You shouldn't even be that one to be saying this. You're a government to function not a politician to leave the state to whatever it is because your governor isn't in APC

@Muteeulahi94 Things Auxiliary did in Seyi’s first term (before they fell out), no one dared it under Ajimobi. It is a fact that Oyo regressed in terms of security when Makinde took over. You can say things have improved in latter years (I have even commended him for investing in security)!

You have a right to ur opinion, but the fact is that AJIMOBI LEFT A BETTER OYO STATE THAN HE MET IN 2011. Seyi Makinde has built on (even surpassed) on a number of these strides (like infrastructure, 13th month pay etc) while other areas like environment and security regressed.
SARKIN Enigma♐@authorityenigma

Almost everyone have a personal experience when it comes to Ajimobi issue directly or indirectly I personally, anything attached to Ajimobi is a No No for me and I have a friend who see Ajimobi as a butter on bread Ajimobi of 2007 to 2019 and after to me is worse

@deola_adewale @_SuperPiz Their problem is that they see politics as a zero-sum game. They don’t realize that it is possible to praise the current administration without rewriting history to rubbish his predecessor(s). Same Seyi admits he is building on AJ’s foundation for some of his successes

@_SuperPiz Are you aware of the level of killings before Ajimobi’s administration? What led to the launch of Operation Burst in Oyo State? Stop presenting only part of the story. How many people were killed in the Iwo Road axis, stop being clever by half.

@_SuperPiz Yes, Hon Sugar was assassinated on election day. Hon Gideon was killed a few years before that… No one said there was no incident of insecurity during Ajimobi’s 8 years, but every logical person who knows how insecure Oyo was pre-Ajimobi will give him his flowers.

@idrisanimasaun_ I limited it to 2nd term. Don’t wanna go back to the time it became so bad that H.E himself carried broom and shovel in the night, declaring a state of emergency on environmental sanitation. It takes audacious sycophancy to say Oyo under Makinde is the cleanest it has ever been

@idrisanimasaun_ you see the people we argue with on Twitter? GSM that has used 3 or 4 Environment Commissioners in less than 3 years knows that things are not in order. How can you even say Oyo state rn is THE CLEANEST IT HAS EVER BEEN? Is this ignorance or sycophancy?
HydroFx@Hydro_jr

I agree with u on everything except saying Seyi regressed on Environment. How so? Oyo state rn is at the cleanest it’s ever been. On the issue of security, Seyi Makinde was among those that spear headed the creation of amotekun, an initiative that has helped curb crimes across SW

@Muteeulahi94 I wasn’t referring to the general insecurity in the country, but pockets of violence and disturbances by certain elements who felt untouchable because they were close to government… people like Auxiliary. No one dared that with Ajimobi… Not Tokyo, not Tawa, not Auxiliary!

Security hasn't regressed. There's nationwide insecurity issue that's permeating every state in their country, so it should be seen in context. But issues of thuggery, NURTW wahala and similar incidences that Ajimobi nipped in the bud have remained so even today. Again, the only thing that has regressed since Seyi took over is environmental sanitation

@authorityenigma @favoriteEx_ @dhoosman Ladoja didn’t pay ‘13th month’ in 2003 and 2004. Facing impeachment in Dec 2005, he paid half salary as 13th month. He was impeached weeks after and Akala deducted that payment from the January salary of workers. Ladoja no pay again upon return as Gov in Dec 2006 Fact-check me!
