𝗜 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗲. First in SQL Server. Full loads every run. Overwrite everything. Simple. It worked until someone asked what a customer’s status was last quarter. The answer was: We deleted it. So I rebuilt it on Databricks. CRM and ERP pulling into Bronze. Six Silver tables running in parallel. SCD Type 2 for dimensions. Hash-based change detection. No history lost. Gold lands three clean tables. 60,398 transactions. Fully consistent. The whole thing runs at 2AM every night and nobody has to think about it. I would not have understood any of it without building it the bad way first.
