The cries coming out of Gangare community in Barkin Ladi are cries no human heart should ever hear A land that once echoed with the laughter of children the sounds of farmers returning home and families gathered together in peace has now been covered with tears pain and fresh graves after the recent attacks reportedly carried out by suspected Fulani militia Men women and innocent children were lowered into the ground as grieving families watched helplessly with broken hearts Mothers screamed the names of their children Wives held tightly to the lifeless bodies of their husbands not wanting to let go Fathers stood trembling with tears rolling down their faces trying to stay strong while their hearts shattered inside them Some children have become orphans overnight Some mothers will never again hear the voices of the sons they carried for nine months Some families who ate together laughed together and prayed together are now separated forever by death and violence What was their crime What did these innocent souls do to deserve such cruelty They were only people trying to live peacefully provide for their families worship God and survive another day Yet bullets violence and bloodshed suddenly turned their homes into places of mourning One by one bodies were placed into graves while cries filled the air The pain was unbearable The tears would not stop The silence after every burial felt heavier than words could ever explain Entire communities are now living in fear not knowing who may be next It is heartbreaking that in this generation human lives can be taken so mercilessly while the world remains silent Innocent blood continues to cry from the ground Families continue to sleep with fear instead of peace Children continue to grow up surrounded by trauma instead of love and safety The Bible says in Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted” Today the people of Gangare need that comfort more than ever before They need prayers They need justice They need protection They need the world to remember that their lives matter too May God hold every grieving mother in His arms May He comfort every father whose heart has been broken May He protect every child left traumatized by this tragedy And may the souls of the departed find eternal rest in the presence of the Lord 🕊️ Gangare we mourn with you Gangare we cry with you Gangare your pain will not be forgotten
