So wowhead has pretty much officially died. Everyone who made the website what it is are gone. Back to just being a database, I might find my news elsewhere. Sad to see it go the way it has.

@NotAmberBerries I’ve luckily been blessed by the algo recently, but it’s def in part due to a specific effort to “adapt” machinima for the current era Machinimas are typically skits, and oddly enough skits are the bread-and-butter of shorts

@sixstenwow Yeah the algo shown your stuff to me a few months back, been following on YT for a while. Reminds me of the good ol crendor days, it makes me happy seeing it ain't dead b ecause the machinima medium was stellar

I think it's interesting. Why don't we have WoW musicians anymore? To me it feels like an example of how WoW has kinda fallen off in mainstream popularity. We used to have like 10 differant people making parody songs about WoW but I haven't seen a single new one in YEARS.

@NotAmberBerries There's probably just as WoW parodies being made (though they are probably VERY AI lol), same as goofy machinimas. But everything is super algorithm driven and those kinds of 'content' just don't drive traffic like more typical stuff

@TheSwordSpear Yeah I think a bit more planning in the actual 3D phase could have done me some good, gotta get better at working with music in mind. On top of that, I think there needed to be some transitions in there instead of a hard cuts. It’s all a process! ❤️

@sixstenwow I dont mind at all I think its a great mix. But this short in particular seems edited a bit strangely, I think I get the general vibe and idea but I think the excution could've been stronger! But we've seen what you can do and I know some kickass lore is possible with the format.

Would yall like it if I sprinkled in more of these “lore” shorts amongst the more comedic/meta ones?

@sixstenwow @AllenWesson2 I have a follow up: these movements and expressions are immensely fluid. Do you do any sort of motion capture?

@AllenWesson2 I use Blender! Belvane on YouTube has some great videos on getting WoW assets in there- and wow.export makes things way easier nowadays
