@UcheMaryOkoli As numerous trad writers have pointed out, it's not a matter of preference. It's a matter of which liturgy glorifies God through His sacrifice on the Cross, which liturgy teaches the Faith, and which one transmits the Mystery of our salvation.

@CatholicSat "...not to fall into the trap of mixing the Catholic faith with other beliefs and traditions of an esoteric or Gnostic nature." Like participating in a pagan Taco-mama ritual, @Pontifex ? I hope that was just youthful naivete...but you certainly haven't renounced your mistake.

Pope Leo XIV at Mass in Bamenda, Cameroon: “Obey God, not human beings.  To obey Him, because He alone is God.  This calls us to foster inculturation of the Gospel.  It also calls us to be vigilant, even regarding our own religious practices, so as not to fall into the trap of mixing the Catholic faith with other beliefs and traditions of an esoteric or Gnostic nature, which in reality often serve political and economic ends.  Only God sets us free; only his word opens paths to freedom; only His Spirit makes us new people capable of changing this country.”

@visegrad24 Sorry, @Pontifex , you haven't got a clue about the mortal enemy of the Catholic Church. In fact, they describe themselves as precisely that.

When asked about what he would say to Catholics in Europe who believe that Islam is a threat to a Christian identity of the West, Pope Leo XIV responded: “In Europe, fears are present but often generated by people who are against immigration and trying to keep out people who may be from another country, another religion, another race. I would say that we all need to work together. All of the conversations that I had during my time both in Turkey and in Lebanon, including with many Muslims, were concentrated on the topic of peace and respect for people of different religions. One of the values of this trip is precisely to raise the world’s attention to the possibility that dialogue and friendship between Muslims and Christians is possible."

@holysmoke Trump's "attack" on the Pope was no such thing, it was an accurate description - which wouldn't have been necessary if Leo would stop repeating DemocRAT talking points. Leo also soiled himself by meeting with Axelrod.

@LifeSite Funny how the media's leftist professional liars only seek out Catholic clergy when they can find Judases to lend a pious cloak to their globalist excrement. And these 3 are definitely Judases. The lavender crowd trying to take the moral high ground is sickening.

@dianemontagna Kerygma = the apostolic proclamation of salvation through Jesus Christ. But since proselytization is forbidden, what good is kerygma? This letter is pure gibberish.

@VaticanNews God's heart is also torn apart by a Pope meeting with a sleazy Obama operative, Axelrod, and then by 3 equally sleazy Lavender Mafia cardinals trying to claim moral high ground when they live in the gutter.

🇮🇱🇱🇧 Israel bombed the mausoleum of Simon Peter, an apostle of Christ, to ruins (again) The ancient shrine is believed to hold the burial place of Saint Peter, apostle of Jesus Christ — in Southern Lebanon This marks the third time Israel has targeted the shrine, which dates to the 1st century CE

@KeenanPeachy How could they "preside" over a trend that goes back to before VII?? Meanwhile, everyone is on Trump for attacking the Pope, yet the Pope just met with a sleazy Obama operative, Axelrod, thus soiling himself as much as Trump did. Both need to get back to their job descriptions.

This is what Cardinals Cupich, Tobin, McElroy, and Prevost presided over. This sad decline pre-dates Donald Trump and deportations. They were bequeathed riches and threw it away on liberal political obsessions. A slow motion tragedy also reflected across Europe. The solution is simple: Catholics, lay and clergy, must return to tradition and the old ways. Parishes where this is happening are bursting at the seams.

@TomFitton Don't worry, Tom, these Cardinals are not "influential." They are leftovers from the shameful pontificate of Pope Francis, and they are all associated with Ted McCarrick and his circle of perverts.

@Synod_va Having fun plotting to destroy the Catholic Church with smarmy, meaningless made-up buzz words? No, I will not be "reflecting" on the psychobabble facilitated by Phillipe de Roux, nor listening to it. I will continue to study and apply the Magisterium of the Church. @Pontifex

The Novus Ordo can be made to look really beautiful: fact. BUT it is always curious that it is most beautiful when it simply resembles the usual Traditional Mass.

Within hours of announcing the cease fire , Iran attacked infrastructure in Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Iraq. Obviously the claims that the Israeli attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon was a violation of the cease fire was just a malicious excuse to close down Hormuz.

The Council was a superbly bad idea, and would have been bad anytime in history. But being both a cause and a catalyst of the upheaval of the 1960s turned it into the worst thing for the Church at the worst possible time for the Church. It was just a vertiginous agent of change for change's sake, and no change was good enough until the bottom was reached.

A Fresh Take on a Bach Classic Toccata and Fugue in D minor is famously known for its powerful organ sound. But in this solo flute version by Helena Schulthess, the piece takes on a completely different character. Instead of grand and dramatic, it becomes intimate and haunting. Since the flute can only play one note at a time, Schulthess uses breath, phrasing, and tone to suggest the layered complexity of the original. This reinterpretation highlights something remarkable about Johann Sebastian Bach: even when reduced to a single melodic line, his music remains powerful, expressive, and timeless. 🎶
