🚨Here’s Ed Miliband’s message to the British people today He says he’ll cut energy bills by £117 even though he promised £150. £117 will hardly help as inflation creeps up and decimates our pockets… Clean power? We need NON-RENEWABLES more than EVER. Not once does Miliband mention drilling and fracking! Fight our corner? Miliband and the loony Labour lot will fight China’s corner forever.

@GBNEWS I suspect it will be quite heavily targeted!! My daughter is 27 and bought a small house on her own last year on 25k a year isn’t classed as a low enough earner for things so I doubt she will get help! She’s on oil for heating and hot water as are we! I’ll wait and see!!

@mgshanks @Ed_Miliband No, they won't. You ignore heating oil, lpg, solid fuel, diesel, petrol. These are all energy vital to rural people. You've already shown that you don't care about us but please stop pretending that you cap energy prices. You cap mains electricity & mains gas only.

@GMB heating oil had gone up 68 pence per litre in the last 7 days - that should be the story on your program

So fuel duty is going up 5p in September. They want us to use public transport. Trouble is in places like where I live, the buses stop at 6pm and don't run at all on Sundays. But it's ok. The Londoners who make these decisions have 24 hour, 7 days a week public transport. 🙄🤬

Home heating oil prices appear to have eased today - now averaging around £585/500L down from £603 y'day (sample 67 suppliers). Strong caveat that the situation remains volatile, but it is possible we may have passed the peak. Prices are still 90% up on 2 weeks ago.

@MartinDaubney please mention those of us in rural areas who rely on oil for heating and hot water and also no public transport available, we have to drive 20 miles to the nearest supermarket! Heating oil has risen by over 150% in a week no price caps available #gbnews @GBNEWS

@afneil The price of heating oil has more than doubled in the past week. I'm sure Trump isn't concerned about about those of us in rural Wales & around the UK now bundled up in fleeces & woolly hats because we've had to turn the heating off. Heating oil is not regulated by Ofgem.

@MartinSLewis @Ed_Miliband The oil price has more than doubled so we're only putting the heating and hot water on for 50 minutes in the morning, it's off for the rest of the day, we need to make what we've got left last till the price comes down again. We're in NE of Scotland, temperature high today 9°c
