Virginia Tech’s “this was not an official campus event” dodge is weak. An off-campus party is not an “official campus event” either, but if something dangerous happened there involving students, the university would not shrug and say it had nothing to do with them. This event was held on campus, hosted by students and alumni, aimed at Virginia Tech students, and featured rhetoric designed to radicalize them and normalize political violence. That is a campus safety problem. And personally, considering Virginia Tech has no problem using university resources for all kinds of unnecessary programming — forcing new students through budgeting modules, trans-awareness trainings, body-image lessons, and even creating special housing programs based on identity — it is fair to ask why the university suddenly becomes helpless when students are exposed to extremist messaging on its own campus. The big ask is simple. Virginia Tech should train students to recognize when outside actors are attempting to radicalize them. The easy ask is even simpler. Virginia Tech should do its job and treat this as the public safety issue it clearly is.

BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇮🇹 Trump just cut Italy loose. "Italy was not on our side. We will not be on their side. They made their choice." Meloni's response: "Italy cannot be part of any organization where children and women are massacred." Trump's closest European ally. Gone. NATO exit threatened. Spain sanctioned. Now Italy. The U.S. is losing Europe.

INSIGHTS: 🇺🇸🇮🇹 Trump just publicly called out Italian PM Giorgia Meloni. "She is no longer the old Meloni. I thought she was brave. I was wrong." Meloni's response: "Italy does not care about what Donald Trump said." Read the Meloni situation carefully. She was Trump's strongest European ally. The one leader who publicly supported his agenda. NATO exit threatened. Iran talks cancelled. Meloni gone. The U.S. is increasingly isolated on the world stage. When you lose your last friend in Europe. You're not winning anymore.

@naomirwolf @realBrandonGill In 1936 one of these desperate teenaged young women made the decision to put her newborn son into Foster care, thankfully. She was my paternal grandmother.

I just watched this film. Excellent. A 1990 TV movie that won 2 Emmys, I’d never heard of it. Have any of you seen it? Regardless, I recommend it.

@Connormuldowney We’re still here appreciating the fact that his tax cuts didn’t expire and admiring him for ending the Iranian nuclear threat, and taking control of Argentinian and Iranian oil.

@TraceyRyniec Iran is not getting what they want. This isn’t Obama or Biden. Time is on our side. We, not they, closed the Straight. They need the $$. Choke hold.

@sjohns58 Prices fell last week because many believed the Strait was going to reopen. It did not. And will not until Iran gets what it wants.

the iran war is the first time of trump’s presidency—in either term—that he is responsible for a major economic downturn. i don’t see any capacity (and, for now, even any intent) to turn this around before midterm elections in november.

@TraceyRyniec They were pretty effective in 1945. If the good guys didn’t have them, what do you think would happen? The difference with Iran is religious zealotry. They don’t care if they die.

@sjohns58 There is no legitimate reason for ANYONE to have a nuclear program, is there? The weapon can never be used. It is used solely as a deterrent. To avoid being bombed. Iran has more of a reason to build one than ever now.

@TraceyRyniec What’s being accomplished is historically great and important and benefits the entire Middle East and Europe. Those opposed: Mullahs, China, Russia, America liberals. In favor: Iranian people and everyone else.

@sjohns58 You're right. Nothing is different from last week. The Strait has been closed for 8 weeks now, instead of 7. The shortages worsen every day and the normalization is pushed back further every day the Strait remains shut. Oil market is now finally reflecting the physical reality.

@TraceyRyniec Ahh. There it is. Your uninformed bias is revealed. If you don’t get it, you don’t get it. As Obama said, there is no legitimate reason for them to have a nuclear program. The agreement was silly and ineffective. Meant only to kick the can down the road.

@sjohns58 We already "obliterated" their nuclear program last June. If he hadn't ripped up the Obama agreement, we would at least be monitoring them right now. But no. Pakistan has nukes and no one is dropping bombs on them. This is why Iran wants them.

@sjohns58 Um...no, it's not. 70% of the economy is consumer spending. Higher gasoline prices are a tax on the consumer. If it is higher, for longer, it will lead to a recession.

@1Nicdar I had knee replacement and it sounds like my experience was similar to hers. PT was brutal and ineffective. Had to go under again to break up the scar tissue. But hip replacement is much different and much easier. Good luck. You probably don’t have much choice.

So the lady who cuts my hair had knee surgery awhile back and now she has to get additional surgery tomorrow to remove scar tissue. She’s gonna be out for 3 weeks. I have a bad hip, but I’ve read bad things about hip replacements as well. Do these types of surgeries ever end well? My hip bothers me 24-7, but I’m really hesitant about getting anything done.

@TraceyRyniec It’s silly to use the price of gasoline as the sole measure when there is such historically great things happening. Real silly. That’s my point.

@sjohns58 Only the Persians can liberate themselves. In the 250th year of our own independence, haven't we learned yet that it must come from within? And that won't stop $5.00 gasoline.

I don’t care that Nimmo is next. This HAS to be a send by Ragsdale with the state of this offense. Make Bellinger execute a perfect throw. Looked like it was going up the line. Missed opportunities.

@TraceyRyniec So. We may also be about to liberate 93 million Persians and bring calm to the Middle East while making China pay us to supply their energy needs while making it highly unlikely they attack Taiwan and seize control of our semiconductor supplier.

@RightOnRangers Kinda funny we are now looking at Jung as the example of a good approach. i agree by the way. Just funny. He spent most of last year and the first couple of weeks this year with the worst approach on the team.

@JamesSurowiecki An intellectually honest person would want an honest accounting and airing of the facts and decision making processes behind such a historic and important event, and wouldn’t dismiss it as “political prosecution.”

Biden gave Fauci a pardon precisely to protect him from this kind of political prosecution, so if the DOJ arrests him, it will be illegal and immediately thrown out of court.
Jessica Rose 🤙@JesslovesMJK

Fauci will be arrested very, very soon. My hope is that he will be interrogated on the subject matter of SARS-2 and HIV. Love to Kary Mullis and Luc Montagnier and all who have suffered at the hands of corrupt "scientists". @brownstoneinst @RWMaloneMD @ChildrensHD @SecKennedy @TheJusticeDept

Happy birthday to this legend @jimryun. One of my favorite pics of him. He was in a post 1968 Olympics slump. The night before mile final at 1969 NCAA mile finals he’d run in two mile. Shredded his feet. KU needed him to win the mile to beat Villanova for team title. . .
