@arhooptalk @mcrandley Yes, a great great offensive player but not a very good defensive player at all. This is what I mean by it would be a different world to have to guard Centers of that caliber. They just don't exist today. If they would have had to play against Wilt they would want to load manage

@mcrandley @sjsopm They would be terrific matchups. But unlike most of the centers he faces today he would have to put out a lot of energy on defense and maybe face foul issues.

@arhooptalk It's funny because there were a lot of similarities to them game wise. Bob was a little bigger but both lefties and 2 of the best face the basket shooting Centers you could ever find. Yes he did have both a great full sweeping hook but also had a great jump hook.

@arhooptalk I watched Bob Lanier every game for the Pistons and he would carve these guys up. Way to many of these guys have never had to defend a strong Center down low and would be stunned at what that is like

@21of22 The ridiculous idea is because he exhausts himself playing for Germany it tires and weakens him making him more susceptible to injuries. So obviously had he not played for Germany last summer when he got plowed in the back from behind he would have popped right up and been fine😂

@Rayshard07 Franz does fine getting ready for the season, he doesn't need Shammgod for that. They go over things with him before he leaves. Spending more time In Orlando is fine, he probably will this year because there is no Tournament to play in. That still doesn't get him the right role

2 things here:
1. If you are relying on an 18 year old to play 32 minutes on any given night, you haven't surrounded him with enough talent to win.
2. This kid will be fucked by 25 if we do not lower his minutes & that is on the coach.

UNC is open. There's a good chance Kansas opens up, too. I'm not worried about "the next time" rn. I'm worried about this time. Dusty May will be a very attractive candidate for both of those openings and Michigan is very poor at being proactive rather than reactive w/ contracts.

@sbell021 At some point you can't just keep doing new contracts every time another job opens. There's actually an easy way to solve this. Eliminate the buyout in the contract and guarantee the entire contract but require permission has to be given for any other school to just talk with him
