Imperial Heavy Troopers were trained for frontline combat with large aliens like wookies. They were equipped with electo staffs with medium range arcs. Their armor was heavier and offered limited lightsaber protection. They appeared in The Force Unleashed.

I will die on the hill that the Invictor Tactical Warsuit, when compared to the Dreadknight, is the one with the actual design problems. The Dreadknight justifies it's open design with lore. The Invictor doesn't.
