It’s amazing how bad companies are at communicating layoffs. I just read one that I’m not going to call out but the entire letter was really to make leadership feel better about the crappy situation.

@akyriako7 I don’t feel obligated or acting under external moral. Limited resources on earth is very scientific and pragmatic. Choosing to use limited resources for the sake of fame or profit is getting harder to me everyday.

@skaragulm don't get me wrong, getting a more ecologically sustainable approach on modern IT should be one of our first priorities but not on the basis of a moral obligation.

As engineer, how do you cope with the need of using social media, and even for some having to build an online presence, and any ecological morality?
