@AannoyingCaat @YURlSUSHI it had to have happened consistently enough for Valve to feel like gutting BLU was the right choice. in all fairness the main game does wire players brains to shoot the people with the opposite color, and with MvM being an entirely new idea i could see it happening regularly.

@sketch702_ @YURlSUSHI Yeah that's what I'm thinking aswell ngl. The story makes it seem like they had a super long session where players sometimes just started failing to do PvP and needed help. But I'm thinking (and hoping) it happened like, once or twice and the devs just cut it. But I wouldn't know

@AannoyingCaat @YURlSUSHI in game development, even the shortest moment of confusion is a bad sign. especially to Valve, who try to optimize their game design to the point that even someone whose never touched a video game in their life can play with as little confusion as possible.

Yeah fuck it- looking at the general responses to the summer update (on Twitter), it once again confirms for me that most people in the TF2 sphere don't actually play the game. No one is talking about the matchmaking system breaking, AGAIN. Want to play on the new maps? Sorry! No one is talking about the maps breaking/the insane frame drops on one of the new maps. No one is talking about the new hard game crashes, amongst other broken shit. But don't worry guys, Sniper is a cowboy now! Cough up $2.50 a crate to roleplay as everyone's favorite meme, Big Iron! How is this acceptable from a multi-billion dollar company? Why are we not holding Valve to a higher standard? This is pathetic. Of course you'll see the usual non-argument: "The game is old, move on, just stop playing it!" As if though that would be an acceptable solution for ANY other game offered as live, playable, and monetized for tens of millions each year. And my personal favorite : "JUST SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE UPDATE!" I wish I was kidding. What the fuck is wrong with us? Is ignorance and cognitive dissonance all that's left? This has to stop, because unless we do something, it's only going get worse.

TF2 2026 Summer Update finally dropped! thoughts on the new maps: Mojave: immaculate map. feels right at home alongside TF2's launch maps, plays great on both attack and defense. these are the kinds of maps TF2 needs and deserves. 10/10, a permanent addition to my map pool.

Dryfield: decent map. plays okay, but feels overbaked. i can appreciate that it tries to go for TF2's classic artstyle but it has too many props and small details that make the map feel cluttered and adds too much visual noise. gonna play this one a bit more to feel it out.

As someone who knows Bloop personally, this isn't true at all. He's a very talented person who made a ton of the best TF2 videos in recent memory. I can't believe that being sad about a game you love turning out badly is grounds for being called an "unmedicated nut".
