Photo Mode is genuinely one of my favorite additions we've made to Daybreak so far, I love being able to just mess around and get cool screenshots of the game I'm really excited to see the screenshots ppl take of Demo 2 when it comes out!!

I’m a graphic designer so not the same but I feel similar pains. When I was in elementary school I was praised for my artistic ability, this made me want to grow up to be an artist. Once I hit middle school the talks of “you can’t make money off your art” started to spread. So I moved to law but a consolar in high school loved my art and helped me get into college classes to become a graphic designer, I never looked back since. I was made to be an artist since day one but it hurts so bad to know that after everything I became what everyone said I would be in middle school “The starving artist” I’m 25 now due to graduate college in the spring of 2026. After covid, family life and financial struggles After all that I won’t even get the future I was promised long ago. No job, no office space, no future in the field I craved for as a child. I’m not even excited to graduate. I truly fear what the future holds after school. I don’t want to work food service for the rest of my life.

This and the whole Gooseworx situation really shows that people on here view people who do any wrong as less than human and unable to change You can work on yourself and apologize while properly taking accountability but only that mistake will define you no matter what

I wish modern sega games weren't designed to be as frictionless as possible I feel like for most of their major IP the difficulty has severely evaporated throughout the 2010s and reached the state of braindead easy they often are now in the 2020s

@Enkiiper @Natural_Hater_ This is exactly why video games became shallow nostalgia pandering slop during most of the 2010’s, because irrational criticism outweighed actual constructive criticism. It wasn’t about being positive or negative, it was demonizing entire studios or concepts.

"Creatives need to accept criticism professionally should try to separate that from hate" and "fandom spaces are way too violently toxic to creatives and should be kinder" are both valid statements that don't contradict each other at all

a new Scenario Writer is a big deal, I'm surprised there's even a possibility Ian Flynn will get replaced for the sequel of the game he debuted in My guess is that, since Sonic is starting to become popular again in Japan, they might hire a japanese writer, which I welcome

@skrubdmodding It could be, but we live in an era of a billion-dollar movie franchise, the media doesn't hate Sonic like it used to, games are being well-received, I think they should take courage and do something memorable

sometimes I wonder if Sega refuses to do anything meaningful on anniversaries now because they think they're cursed
