I did an engagement shoot at the Capitol in Salt Lake today. There were hundreds of teenagers there taking prom pictures, with dozens of professional photographers all over the grounds. During the shoot, while my clients were taking a break, I saw a young couple trying to set up an older camera on a tripod with a timer so they could take their own photos. Between the camera, the tripod setup, and the fact that they didn’t have a photographer with them, I got the impression that money was tight. I asked if I could help by taking a photo for them. I took the girl’s camera off the tripod, made a little show of trying to figure it out, and then said, “I’m terrible at learning new cameras. How about I just use mine instead?” They happily agreed and I gave them a mini photo session. When I showed them the images on the back of my camera, their faces just lit up. The young woman offered to pay me and asked for my Venmo. Of course, I refused. I told her all I needed was their phone numbers so I could send them the finished photos. I edited them tonight and sent them over a little while ago. They replied right away, thanking me profusely. I’m so grateful for the talent God has blessed me with. It’s wonderful when photography brings in a little extra money, but the real reward is moments like this, when something you’ve spent years developing becomes a gift you can give away. Tonight, two kids who might not have been able to afford prom photos still got to leave with something beautiful. Seeing their smiles and receiving their gratitude was even better than getting paid.

🚨BREAKING: CA Legislature Passes Bill to Criminalize Nick Shirley Style Fraud Exposés. The Assembly Judiciary Committee voted 11-2 to make investigative journalism illegal. Their bill would impose civil sanctions of $4,000 minimum if an immigrant services fraudster wants to be off camera and takes the issue to court. The fraudster can also pursue an injunction disallowing them from being exposed on camera by a journalist for up to four years. If the journalist refuses to take the initial video in which the fraudster was exposed down, they may face up to three times the amount of the initial civil penalty: $12,000. The bill protects “immigrant service centers” like fake Somali daycares or Los Angeles hospice centers from legitimate journalists by classifying them as “harassers.” In the worst case, if the Journalist is accused of doxxing a fraudster or posing an “imminent threat,” they can get criminal charges and $10,000 in fines. If this bill passes fully, and, Nick or anyone else were brave enough to film more ghost-client daycares or hospices, they’d be under severe financial and legal scrutiny. What a shame!

This is NOT what he expected for lunch… A man walks into Outback Steakhouse, orders a simple salad, nothing crazy, nothing fancy, and drinks… water. No appetizer. No steak. Just a basic meal. But when the bill hits the table? $25. He’s staring at it like… “For THIS?” A few strips of chicken, mostly lettuce… and somehow the price feels like a full dinner. And now people are asking: When did “casual lunch” become this expensive? We were going to wait until just before the California Governor primary to NUKE Eric Swalwell out of the race with my recordings of him inebriated with lobbyists at dinner But now that his DEMOCRAT friends are calling on him to DROP OUT, I guess I don’t have to wait! 🤣 Stay tuned for a drop in the coming days. Swalwell spent his dinner bragging about "ORGlES" on Capitol Hill, telling them he's bored of his wife and "only wants to f*ck tens." Worse, he spoke about ABUSING his power on the House Intel Committee (which he's since been booted off of), saying he pushed to SUBPOENA Ivanka Trump because she's "hot as f*ck" THIS GUY MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE HOMELAND SECURITY COMMITTEE. He CANNOT keep his freaking mouth shut. After I began questioning him, Swalwell jumped back into the group of lobbyists to hide from me, but I pressed on. Dude looked absolutely TERRIFIED and 100% guilty. He knows he's been caught.

Nick Shirley “is also a member of the LDS Church…and he also happens to be from Utah.” Ok I know this has already gone viral, but I hadn’t seen her full Shirley criticism until now. The thing that is most striking to me is how she randomly throws in there that he’s Mormon and from Utah. And of course, the implication is “that’s suspicious”—as we know she’s already implicated Mormons in 9/10 back in December when she went on her weird Courtney Love/Britney Spears tangent. This is such a crazy, irresponsible, unprofessional thing to do. In no world is simply being Mormon or from Utah suspicious. Imagine if someone was like, “well Candace is ‘Catholic’ and she also happens to be black” as a mark of suspicion. How do people not understand this isn’t how actual investigations work? Moreover, she could’ve waited for Shirley’s response before going live with her psychotic suspicions. She admits she only messaged him earlier that day, and he might’ve not yet had time to get back to her. But she says all this anyway. Why? Because she likes to create drama and chaos. She’s an entertainer who thrives on discord.

@bob_chaplain @oregoncitizen_ Now THAT’s a roundabout. These stupid little ones on every other intersection are terrible. We have one in Medford on a heavily traveled highway and is way too small. VERY poor design. Roundabouts are supposed to be to facilitate high levels of traffic, not for traffic calming.

@oregoncitizen_ I love roundabouts, but I don’t find small one’s to be very effective. If not done right, they just annoying.
