A student of Zenith International Academy, Maiduguri, was tragically killed yesterday after a stray bullet, allegedly fired unintentionally by a Nigerian Army personnel during a wedding celebration at Ngomari Coustin, struck her while she was inside her home at the UMTH quarters. This heartbreaking incident underscores the urgent need for government action. Reckless gunfire in residential areas endangers innocent lives. Stronger regulations, accountability, and preventive measures must be enforced to protect our communities and prevent such tragedies.
