I hesitate to weigh in on these things via sources. But I see the discussions are firing up on here. Any friction on the reworked Brohm deal, from my understanding, is over an increased buyout number, and surrounding discussions.

The alternative to having Jeff Brohm would be bleak for UofL, and I am surprised more people don’t realize that. He isn’t perfect but he’s damn good for this program.

The guy turned down more than $2 million above what he’s getting ready to sign with Louisville for. My speculation — I would think a lower buyout on the coaches end is a way of holding the school to any commitments outside the contract in terms of revenue sharing, NIL and other things.
